    Sounds like a good plan. I might change to monday off dunno yet. Last year for the opener i got soaked and got a bird! So really hate not to go. But if its a downpour i will hold off. Esp since i dont use a blind.

    I had a Tom gobbling his head off to my left and behind me. And a yote came out to sneak up on my decoys. Had to scare him off without scaring the turkey. Waving my hands at him as he is in field til he knew something wasn't right. No didn't get the gobbler. I call in dar more yotes turkey hunting than I do actual coyote hunting

    Well this sucks - today on local news they said Thursday night into Friday heavy rain with possible flooding. WTH! . Might end up working fri and take Monday off .

    GF daughter is going there. Her first year and she is of course doing distance learning now. But GF was telling me that even online they seem to go the extra mile at that school. That they can have chats with the professors if needed and extra help and seem to still have a decent amount of class/training still going on despite all this mess.

    The first nice spring days do wonders for the soul! I started to go trout fishing got there and realized I forgot my lures. Had one one the pole but the water was so low and the sun so high , I should know better on this crick. So went home and did a bunch of chores as I got to thinking walleye and turkey open in 7 days I better get this stuff done. So lots of outside chores. Then chicken on the grill with the GF and play with the dog in the backyard.

    Also this is the way to clean partridge/grouse. Done in seconds. Turkey is pretty easy though too. One cut down the middle of breast. Cut out breasts and then peel skin down around thighs and legs and I cut that out too. I don't mess with the wings. Dark meat goes to make pulled turkey BBQ.

    Picked up a new box call from a guy that I went to high school with. He was a year or two ahead of me. But I didn't know he made calls til recently. Haven't seen him in prob 30 years. Can't wait to use it. Made of mahogany and purple heart wood. it's beautiful and it sounds awesome. He's making a grunt call for me now too. Met him to get call and we BS for 2 hours about hunting.     Man it just feels good to have hunting again. I'm not going out tomorrow but it still feels great to know that hunting season is back. Good luck to everyone tomorrow.

    Full endorsement from me !! I can't eat eggs now without the tater topping. I use it Everytime. Used the cow rub Tonite on wings. Great stuff.
