and....... well did she....... its like a cliffhanger on the dogpatch soap opera

opening fri night of walleye ought to be interesting. With no one able to launch a boat and the canal wall in Sylvan is always lined up with people anyway. Its a big event - people selling food and coffee and hot chocolate. People get there hours ahead of time to get a spot. This season will be an early spawn so most of the eyes will be back in the lake, But it ought to be interesting with no launches if someone is going to tell people they cant fish there too. #brawl@thewall (which is what they call a little local fall tourney they have one night a year there, but may have more meaning now)

Hope its a good day - happy birthday

GF got a 10 month old border collie just before all this started - so coincidentally it worked out great. Except since she isnt working the dog never leaves her side. lol -

My best buddy was one day from heading to the pound when I got him. I was thinking about getting a dog but didn't say anything about it to anyone. Was thinking a Australian Shepherd or cattle dog or a beagle or a lab. One of my staff asked if I might be interested in a dog. She had family that couldn't handle a pup and two little kids and was about to take him to the pound. And he was 6 months old and half Australian Shepherd and half beagle. And without hesitation I said yes. Wouldn't know what to do without him. -
I did one last weekend. Came out great. Go for it.

That was my initial thought but this is what they did at the South shore launch. Hoping they don't block off the one near me like this.

Not gonna compare my bitching about fishing to what some people are going thru in the least. BUT .... Kick a guy in the balls. New boat this year, a statement from DEC saying Oneida lake is going to be the best ever with a million walleye, and then close the launches!! I can see the launch driveway from my house in the front and waves breaking on the pier in the back. After a tough day at work, this was a bitter one to wash down, when your just looking forward to a day on the water.

Corona Virus Thread

yup! Already trying to figure a way to get on the lake. Might have a dock to use but have to be able to get out there to dock it. Oneida has very few docks cause it gets so rough. So unless its a bay or a canal you dont want to dock on it. I usually dont fish much til 2nd week of may - so hoping it opens up by then. -
actually i would bag the milk and the water and add beer! lol

you wont want to add to much liquid. I would just add in the skim to cover for the water and the powdered milk like Culver said.

i took some out of the freezer for this weekend that i made. Cracked pepper and Jalepeno! Good luck - lets see the end product too!

id save that till it gets juuusssttt a bit worse.....

I have a parker thunderhawk and i love it. Killed my best deer ever with it. One of my hunting buddies has one too, but yeah they are out of business if you want parts. Which hopefully i wont need and have used it for three seasons now without issue. I did order a bunch of their arrows cause they went out of business so i had enough of them to last a few years. They also use a capture nock which is a little less common but i really like them.
