I was fishing Leland's pond one time, and catching some nice bass. When I heard a car horn blowing. I see a guy go diving in the bushes and a car go down the road. Then next car comes and two naked guys jump out of the bushes and run across the road in front of a car. One of them has a deer antler hat on. A couple more cars come thru then they jump in there car and leave. Well I was done fishing as it's about 10 and wasn't coming in til they were gone. So I get to the shore and up pulls a trooper. ( God I hope he doesn't think it was me..lol). He rolls down the window. And I ask " looking for a couple naked idiots?". He busts out laughing and says " were they dudes?". Me -" Yeah they were dudes , one was wearing antlers too." Trooper - " always naked dudes, never girls...". So he asked for description of vehicle and takes off. Never know what kinda wildlife your gonna see....

Wow 8 years. That is incredible. He has a great hiding spot somewhere. Prob right behind a neighbors house. Lol

Hopefully you'll be standing over him in October. Cool story. I chased a deer around for 3 years on our lease. It was pretty neat to get pics of him every year. Always wanted to know what happened to him.

My guy only does a dozen a year. He drops off the hides in NC on his way to Florida for the winter then picks them up on his way back thru.

That's great to see. Nice way to get him into the sport and involved. Some of the best of hunting is the planning. Hope he has one walk by and then heart pounding excitement we all live for .

Ducks or not that is beautiful

I am liking the mild stretch of winter. Got out to do some work on the lease. Cut two trees and some limbs by my favorite gun stand that were bothering me. First pic is a fresh rub 30 yards from that stand. Wasn't there during hunting season. It looks really fresh , interesting it's so late. Then started a trail we are planning to cut across the property. It's gonna be about 250 yards long and 10-15 yards wide. Gonna be a big project but should help out. Stuff is so thick we need some more open area. Cut until chain came off saw. Rain was coming in anyway. 2nd Pic from stand where trail will go.
