i can stand around the corner of house about 25 yards away from shed and hole and thru a fence. Should be covered good. And am good with pellets out to 30 yards with it. But nobody messes with my boy! (too residential for a real gun) #Vendetta!

i actually put a ratchet on the mid brace as well and around the tree. A minimum of three straps on a tree for each ladder stand. And i actually like when they sink in the ground some - i wouldnt put a board under them. I want those pegs sticking in the ground as much as possible to make it more stable and harder to kick out. And i disagree that two people ARE always better cause if someone gets hurt you have help there. Love the idea of upgrading the ratchets - I do that as well.

My buddy came up with the best idea ever. We have a pole saw for trimming lanes. When we move or take down a stand we just cut the ratchet from the ground with a pole saw and use a new one. They are $3.00 to replace. Well worth it in my opinion not to take the chance while your up there. And chances are they should be replaced anyway. And we always put up an extra strap on the foot platform as well as a backup in case. When we put one up we have 2 sets of ratchets attached before we go to the top. Glad you are ok! Helluva scare.

My buddy is the EXACT same way. He figured out he is lactose intolerant and it was the creamer in the coffee. Drinks it black now and has no prob.

The Walmart here hasn't sold guns in years. I've also been asked at Walmart for last two years if I bought ammo " is this for a handgun?". I actually got into an argument with a person there and told them it was none of their business. He first told me it was the law that he had to ask. Till I called his BS and then he said it's store policy. I told him I don't care. Still sold me the ammo. Is .22 ammo handgun or rifle.... exactly. If Walmart sells 20 percent of all ammo sales this is a big hit. Where I live it's the only place in town to buy any now since herb phillipsons closed. Have to go to Rome to runnings to get ammo. Or hope the one gun shop has what I want in stock. This seems like the next step will be no ammo sales there I wonder how many will now boycott Walmart. Always thought Dicks was an easy target cause how much does anyone shop there anyway....but Walmart... I didn't and won't boycott either cause if you look into most companies there are things you won't like including funding planned Parenthood, Peta, products from overseas etc... Where does it end.

I used to put the pin on and touch it off in my younger days. Now I am much more patient. Never touched off an arrow all season last year cause didn't have a good shot. Til x bow and then was calm and made good shots.
