  1. I have one stand in 7J and it's ready to go. Moved it 15 yards for better shots and closer to field. Also made it a 9ft stand cause it just tucked in better. It is buried there about perfect. Greenfield and a big cornfield 90 yards away. Bow only stand on an East wind only. View looking out in field and to cornfield, then next to stand in woods, then pic from field where I walk in. Hidden right in that corner. Good to go. One more location in 6S for next weekend then ready, set, go!
  2. Lease is ready to go! Buddy Corey and I moved stand we wanted to and checked and replaced straps on last stand. Forgot to take pics but put up a tucked in 9 ft stand on the backside of property we have been eyeing. Came out nice. Pulled cam cards on three cams we went by that have only been out a week. One is an old one and had no pics so gotta replace it. Another had 2000 pics cause of a branch. Lol But one by ground blind that's been out for three days had a nice buck. And looks hard horned.. We got a lot done , just need season to start. (Pic of a pic)
  3. First decent buck of the year. Only have had cam out for a week in this spot by ground blind. (This is a pic of a pic)
  4. Lol. I did the same thing. Had a spot cleared for my first mount this season. And paced by it til I finally got mine too. Guess you gotta figure if you get it before a new season starts that ain't too bad. Can't wait to see pics.
  5. That was a nice damn buck for sure. I would've had my heart pumping out of my chest. Did you have a mount on that buck? I actually like to see them for a while and I calm a little. Sometimes when they appear quick I rush too much. When I see them coming and watch them a bit I get a little calmed down. But hell a doe gets my adrenaline going. Esp early season.
  6. You sure do a lot of work and get some others that adrenaline rush for sure! It seems now the biggest enjoyment is on the setup and work. So maybe not getting the rush but get the enjoyment out of the process. I got it... Have each person you let hunt pitch in donations for your work and go on an African safari!
  7. Pepperoni, spinach and swiss omelette. Before heading to lease to do some work today!
  8. Isn't weird at all. If I needed to do research to figure out what to get, would love to hear from people about what they have used and had the best luck with. Talk about an investment in your life, more important than a vehicle or something that people feel is a big purchase. Some great info and maybe help someone make the right decision. Esp when they have to live with their choice and insurance might not give them a second chance if they make the wrong choice and it doesn't work out. Good job. My only thought is the music isn't needed. Would rather be able to hear what you are saying better. Cause that's what matters and it's what people will be wanting to hear. But I know zero about this kind of stuff and maybe there was a way to mute that anyway. Again good job.
  9. I use scentless detergent and wash them after every weekend or couple of hunts and nuke them in between hunts in an ozone bag.
  10. Hoffman Coneys slawed and tater salad. Post mowing beer.
  11. maybe its just there isnt that challenge anymore on the home whitetail range - would maybe a western Elk hunt get that feeling back?
  12. as the season goes the more deer i see or have in range, the calmer i get . So maybe you guys that dont have it anymore just have too many deer! Kinda like Hef at the mansion...... eh another blonde.......lol
  13. where i put new stand for this season - pics at 25 yards from there. Last season bucks that went thru and got on cam. Def gotta spend some time there and by the looks of the times - Midday (am/pm was off obv) . Pic of stand was taken right where bucks went thru! Also a nice scrapetree there last season. Hoping these two boys made it thru. Saw the big one on opening day of gun but couldnt get a shot. sat here once during xbow in the brush last year but def upgrade with the stand this season.
  14. Buddy, better pickup a box of donuts and a to go Joe and say hello to the neighbors! I would def ask. No loss if it's a no.
  15. Dunno for sure. Think I only got a glimpse of what I thought was him in muzzleloader season last year and if it was him was def some bigger. Saw him a few times in 17. He was hot on a doe both times I was within 70 yards of him in 17 .
  16. big 9 - was within 70 yards of him twice during bow - this was last day of bow season in '17. I have a stand in the corner of this field. Landowner lives across the rd and took this pic. lol I had him on trail cam too.
  17. my buddies house on the way to work - hes got 20,30,40,50 markers and three targets. I just stop on my way thru a couple of times a week now thru season. Yeah its a nice quick break and I usually only take a couple of shots. Make em count shots! Nice lunch shooting yourself! Those are dead deer at 30!
