Got a few today. Out with buddy Corey. Got my first legal eye of the year and a limit. And some dandy perch. Didnt want to leave but rain came in.

Nice buck! Heavy horns . Both great mounts. I called my taxidermy guy today and he said 2-3 weeks! Almost there.

My two favorite Brook trout lures are the smallest panther Martin fly spinner in 1/32 oz and the trout magnet in same weight. I always fished little brooks for them and had the best luck. Lots of walking thru brushy places but go where others don't. Ponds u usually need a boat of some sort to fish them well.

It's like you were there! Lol I had the same problem. Had to stop after 3 shots cause barrel was hot as hell and I was getting shots right. Those three on the farthest right were after three shots . I waited ten minutes and then shot three more. Those 2 - 3 shot groups with a cooler barrell were all right above the bull for the most part. Had another target I started out on to dial it in but this one was the last target.

Lock this prediction up! Bigfoot will be found this weekend in the dacks! Just passed a camper on 365 headed north. It had squatch pics all over it and different state emblems and the truck had Bigfoot graphics on it. And a huge one that said "the Squatch life!". The professionals are in town. The guy driving even looked like the shorter guy on one of those Bigfoot shows. You can tell they mean business! Squatches beware! Lol

Some browns after work last night and a strikeout on turkeys this morn. But a good day off regardless.

Got out to finish sighting in 30-06. Just need to get that Maine moose draw golden ticket in a couple of weeks. Been about 10 years of drawing. Guess you never know. But rifle should be good out to 250. Pic is sideways. Shots are an inch + high at 100. Bullet is pointing down.

Saw 2 deer and a hummingbird. Never saw a turkey or heard a gobble. Might be it for me for the season. Only go again if too nasty/windy to fish again. Even hunted a woods road and no luck!

Nary a gobble this morn so far.

Trout after work. Have tomorrow off was gonna go out on lake for some eyes but weather is pending.

my fishing buddy made some last fall and it came out great - brined it and then smoked in electric smoker and did a little light maple flavor to it. Was excellent. Im going to put some trout in to try soon and make Turkeyfeathers smoked trout dip he has posted a few times. Looks like a great batch. I also dont care for Ontario salmon unless its smoked .

very sorry to hear! I always think that when i go my dog will be there with a wagging tail again. Tough decision but sounds like the right one.

last year i was driving home from work and there is a truck backing up the other lane so i pull out of the way on shoulder cause i didnt know what the hell he was doing.....until...... i ran over the turtle he was trying to save. Damn it! Prob made him curse and his kids cry, but i was watching him and not the turtle! damn it! My buddy that worked for the DOT used to pick up snappers and throw them into the patrol truck. One day i ran into him and he had six in the back. He def liked turtle. Always loved going to his cookouts and asking whats this??......could be anything from caribou to snapping turtle.
