i once saw an article on the news about a guy arrested for stealing baby formula. And thought "well i guess if he has to steal there is about the best reason for sure"......until later in the story they address how baby formula is the preferred mixing agent for people making drugs.....If there is to be a shortage hopefully the supply that is out there goes for the right reason to the right people.

Def is. I enjoy it too. Still lots to do this spring. Corey is still healing up so trying to get as much done as possible. Spent 4 hours cutting brush. One more trip and this stand should be set. Tired of having to hand cut all the brush so I am cutting it so I can get the brush hog in there and keep it cut down. More work now for less work later. One of Corey's apple trees he planted last year is budding out nice. Productive day on the land. Can see the deer already in there under the apple tree I cleared out. Can see our 9ft stand in the first pic. Still tucked in there but can get more shots now. We went a couple of times to chimney mtn cabins in Indian lake. Saw bear sign but never a bear. We went up for the early bear season and luckily the fishing was great. Lol. But saw tracks and bear scat. One morn we went out fishing and hunting from a little island on other side of the lake. It was in Sept and it was like record heat almost 90. It was crazy. So never expected to see a bear. But caught a bunch of bass. Came in and the people in the neighboring cabin said it was 10 minutes after we left in the boat a bear was down by the little spot where all the boats were. Lol. Go figure. The seasons are perfect - quit your bitchin...lol We can take two bucks, most places can get doe permits, there's a long archery season, an overlap with xbow and a generous gun season, followed by a southern muzzleloader/archery. A northern and southern range with lots of different hunting options. We gots it good! If you don't want to use the implement or hunt a season or full season don't. No one is making you. It's like bitching that the steak dinner is too big. You don't have to eat it all. I am all for the xbow at 55 as I know several guys that can't draw the bow anymore and just love the archery season. And being older have a tougher time in the cold as well. Less restrictions and more freedoms are always a good thing. To argue about the semantics of whether a crossbow is more like a gun or bow is silly to me. Who cares. Hunt with what is legal and works for you and who cares what others do. Did my token turkey hunt. No gobbles even at distance. Tried both sides of the property. Turkeys not too prevelent here for sure but see one on occasion. If I put Bill type of time in might score one but just not a big turkey guy unless I have action. Found a spot to put up a new stand though. Breakfast and a walk with Charlie won out. Picked up cherry tomato, tomato, and pepper plants today while at Lowes for flowers. They will stay in the shed window for a bit but figured get them while there. Got some different peppers to try.
