Smoked some smoked/apple and cheddar sausage. Came out much better this time. Did 1.5 hours at 175 then 20 minutes at 200. Put on a toasted ciabata roll with butter and onions . Was great. Next time might do another 1/2 hr of smoke at 175. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

refreshed a little new soil in garden beds and put up some Charlie barriers on the outside of them last night. Already have seeds for Zuchini, green beans, chard, green onions. LFG spring!

Dealership tires suck. Most of the new vehicles we order now - mid 20K have to replace them. We use cooper often and they have been decent. Not familiar with the AT's though.

those look great ! The tuscan Vodka sausage i made this weekend has sundried tomato in it. And it might be my new favorite.

Got out today on land and got one of the pond drains cleared out and flowing. There was nothing going thru it. Big win there. The other one the water was so deep I couldn't hardly get to it in chest waders. Gonna try that one again next weekend hoping the water goes down some by then. Just did a test pattie of each of the ones I mixed up yesterday. Both were awesome. Very happy how they came out. Gonna case them soon. I won't make anymore now til next winter probably. More of a cold weather hobby. If we were closer I have enough Tuscan spices left for another 10-15 lbs and smoked sausage spices for the same. Guess I will just have to make more! Not venison but pork sausage. Realized I like the taste of pork sausage more than venison sausage but love the burgers from venison. So all my grind goes to burgers. Made 10lbs each of a Tuscan vodka sausage with roasted red peppers and a smoked/apple with high temp cheddar. Mixed up to flavor overnight. it was good. But i have to say it really wasnt much more tender than just searing it in a hot cast iron pan the usual way. But this did make it harder to overcook one. It was delicious but so far i am not sold on 3+ hours of cooking for the difference. if your used to cooking steaks and are able to judge them pretty well i dunno if its worth it. More things to try in it yet. Gonna try some chops and hopefully some duck breasts this fall. But not unlike the air fryer, im not sold thats its that nuch better of a way to cook things.

legally im sure they do. Until you add up all the walleyes full of eggs they are taking and the eggs they are trampling over in the creek in front of the hatchery wading and spearing. And the fact that the hatchery doesnt actually often stock Oneida as those walleyes go to lakes that have sparser populations across the state. So it hurts fisheries across the state. Im sure legal hunters take more deer than poachers as well. But still doesnt make it right. They are taking fish out of season, over the limit and spearing - all of which are illegal. AND.... they are from Canada. If i run into them i will have them PM you about spearing bass at your favorite adirondack lake, maybe you can help them out and its even closer a drive for them. And spearing bass on the spawning beds should be real easy to get garbage bags full of big spawing bass.
