  1. You passed along a truly pure and enjoyable sport! Great trout ! Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  2. FYI - the Draw is coming soon! June 11th https://www.maine.gov/ifw/hunting-trapping/hunting/species/moose/moose-permit-drawing.html
  3. Thats my point exactly. There were signs out there and nothign was done yet again....these people will always be around. Evil like that always has and always will and to think we are able to monitor and stiffle it all is a pipe dream. And not all of them show signs. Unless you want China and complete big brother watching everything you cant cover it all. Even though people know about it you also have to have them report it as well. Too big of a loophole for me. If the security is put into place we are better covered regardless.
  4. It isn't about mental health or guns both sides are wrong. There will always be people who are unstable with evil in their hearts and there will always be guns legal or illegal. The issue is security. When a mass shooting starts how do they always end? When the shooter is confronted with force. Either he gets taken out or takes himself out at that point. So why can't there be armed security so that this happens sooner rather than later and have this on site! Seems fairly simple to me. Central Square school has some very impressive security. Check out the video on this link (much better than the article). All schools should have this at this point. https://www.localsyr.com/news/local-news/central-square-school-district-taking-safety-seriously/ Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  5. I actually went thru 3 guns before unsettled with this one. Had a .22 Mag setup for my first and changed that to a .327, then bought a bond arms ranger and traded it in for the Taurus. I love it. I got the poly and it is lighter to carry and slimmer as it has a 5 round capacity. And all the different rounds you can use are pretty cool. From .45 lc to .410 slugs, defense rounds and even shot shells. Only pistol I will ever have. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  6. I stopped making sausage with venison for that reason...if its less than 50% its not venison sausage, its sausage with venison. lol Plus i found i just like the regular pork better and im forcing it to be what its not. IMHO. Plus vension burgers on a the grill are one of my favorites so grind goes there. Here are the yield #'s for Constanzas. Nothing really 50%. 3 #s of venison for 7 #s of sausage. 5 for 13 etc. Dont get me wrong its great stuff! But....is it really "venison" sausage......eh.... But what really matters is that it gets enjoyed and shared with family and friends. http://costanzasausage.com/wildgameprocessing/
  7. i look at my pistol as a way to get me to a real gun. Lol I bought a judge so i can shoot .410 shot and be sure i hit something. A bear charges me im bound to get him somewhere in the spray!
  8. Like Chef said sausage needs a lot of fat for the right consistancy - When i mix up plain pork sausage i even add extra fat content to the ground pork itself by adding in 1lb of ground bacon with every 10lbs of ground pork. Starting doing this and made the best sausage ive ever made this winter. But i gave up calling mine venison sausage and just using the ground for burgers. Which i add 1lb of ground bacon to 10lbs of ground venison for.
  9. I looked into some of the ingredients in constanzas and they are using more pork than venison in their sausage. Often 60/70%. Looked at the ratio of he ow many pounds of venison to give them and how many #s of sausage you get back. They def make great stuff. But I actually stopped making venison sausage last year and only use my venison grind for bacon burgers and snack sticks. But Ive been making homemade pork sausage and enjoy it more than I did the venison. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

  12. Got one side of the trails cut today. One more trail to go and we are good for a month or two hopefully. Needed to get it done but tough not to be out fishing as the bite is good right now. But I enjoy this also. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

  14. We are looking for a real cheap boat before season. There used to be an old rowboat out there. Gonna try to find it and see if it's sea worthy now that the water has gone down. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

  18. Security, inflation, green initiatives, teachers unions, lack of staffing, etc..... It all adds up to remote schooling in the next few years. It starts as an option for 11 and 12th grades, then expands from there. As we realize we no longer need to spend billions on brick and mortar schools, teachers in unions, exorbitant transp expenses due to new emission regs, that we need to better protect children and the largest factor that learning has completely changed due to technology. Us old fogies will be gone and the new generation that is digital based and comfortable with it will move to this and actually prefer it. Look at the younger generation now and how they interact, it's thru a digital medium. No longer do you have to memorize facts, they are at your fingertips. Learning will be more based on the individual and that child can take classes more suited to them instead of general studies and go at a pace suited to them. One teacher can remotely teach 150 students. And each student can have contact with a counselor as needed. Ever use Zoom? Can raise your hand and ask questions just like a classroom. People argue that it's not going to work because: 1 - not enough social interaction - look at how people now interact including this forum. Do even you talk to friends now more by texting or calling? Now compare it to a youth that is on their phone 10 hours a day. Now forecast where that will be in 5-10 years. Already you need a computer to attend school now. 2 - parents have to work- many more people also work remote now. And remember the child tax credit monthly payments of $350 per child per month last year? Take away the expense of schools and put 1/4 of that money back into parents pockets and they will figure it out. And it would still be cheaper on the taxpayers. How many parents are already unhappy with the school their kids attend, the curriculum and now are terrified to send them there? Do you feel you are getting your money's worth out of school these days? Brick and mortar schools will go the way of libraries. Security- safer at home, no need for metal detectors, armed guards, lockdowns, active shooter drills etc... Inflation- expenses for a school, transp, maint, etc will be gone Green intiatives- all buses in NY by 2035 to be 0 emissions, by 2027 can only buy new 0 emissions. There will only be more of this to come. Teachers unions - this would bust teacher unions supported by taxpayers. Could actually move to private contracting for teaching with the best teachers getting the most subscribers. No more tenure. Staffing- it's forecasted that millions of teachers are soon retiring and will not be able to replace them, CDL bus drivers are a dying breed even getting paid $30/hr. It's coming and prob whether we old fogies like it or not. It seems inevitable to me given the cultural changes. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

  22. Close enough. They stir it with the same spoon. Plus I'm thinking he's up for beer infused charcoal anyway. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  23. My back yard is all fenced in, I have a solar owl that has a motion detector, and Charlie patrols it while I'm home and it's daylight. Lol. Tacks won't even pick a tomato out of there. And those gray pieces of lattice are to keep Charlie out of it. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
