Grampy i gotta say...... might be a good young fella and glad a young guy is hunting ....... and this is mostly just me in my own head and how i look at hunting.... But if i showed up somewhere to hunt with someone and they said they were doing a deer drive and all carrying AR's i would prob pass and wish them luck. I would be ok with them doing it but prob wouldnt be my hunting crowd.

ive got a 4 day weekend coming up Sat -Tues and forecast right now is rain every damn day. Im going ! just gonna have a wet ass i guess. Then all long weekends for me thru the weekend after thanksgiving

Ouch! Looks like Grampy still has the lead then. Chris gave like 4-5 of us some points though! Hockey is a killer , he might fill the NY tag this week too!

I used to do one at a local archery shop but they closed. I brought in my 7 pt to just see cause you never know and I ended up winning smallest buck cause only guys brought in two 9 points. Another guy that was in shop when I was picking up money says "damn it I should have brought my 4 point in!". But I won like $75.

Named this one Dark Knight. 3 years of cam pics of him never once in daylight and all in the same spot.Cam pic in 2016 then 2017 then in 2018 we had a video of him cause cam was accidentally set on video. Last we ever saw of him.......

i use the free app for Huntstand. I have an earlier app and i think i get more free landowner info with it than the updated free app. Works great for me.

i use a reader but i plug it into the TV and it works much better. Can go thru the pics with the remote on the couch while drinking a beer!

My former MIL used to make grape pies. Never had one before then. really good but a whole lot of work! Im guessing thats why they arent that common.

I would say rubs are rubs. What it tells me is that there are bucks in the area. If you have food sources and known bedding areas then you know they are in that area for a reason. I generally just find rubs mostly on edges which is where deer travel often but have seen them in thick places, field edges, ridges etc. I don't think there is a big science to it in a deers mind of to and from or a staging area or particular placement. I would just take it as buck sign. Maybe look for areas where the rubs, food and bedding are closest together.

What a shitty outdoor weekend. Rain and storms all day Saturday and Sunday lake effect rain. If it was snow we would be buried. It's rained so much off of Ontario the lake must be down a foot.....put the boat away for the winter though at least that is done but hate to do it. Will prob early shore fish a few times before winter. Never hunted all weekend. Next hunt is Tues after work and have Wed off. Then Sat - Tues off. Corey is also off then so one of us should have some action. Was hoping for even a short evening sit Tonite in the ground blind but I've now given up on that. Thanks lady O for the black cloud overhead!

Welcome in. X2 on what Fletch said. Good sized tracks of state land around the area 30-45 min in most directions.
