Although the trout season is open year-round on the reservoirs down here, April 1st still always makes me think of fishing (and baseball).
Each year I take March 31st (my birthday) and April 1st off from work if they fall during the week.
DNA wise, yes. But the coyotes in NY are nowhere near the intelligence or capabilities of killing when compared to an actual wolf

I know a kid who had a van in like 2001. It was white, all tinted out, rims, blue under glow lights, sound system, etc. This thing was ridiculous looking, but the funniest part was that he had a sticker on the back blacked out glass that read "Don't laugh, your daughter might be inside".

Slap in the face to geno! Jets are a mess and it will be another poor season for them. I can't say much as my Chiefs haven't won it all in my lifetime

Yes, it's annoying with all the cops and people everywhere, but I can't complain too much. For many years, I loved coming down to the city with a bunch of people and going to bars at 9am and drinking and partying all day. It was always mayhem. None of us are irish, but it was a great time. We would do NYC 1 saturday, Hoboken 1 saturday, and White Plains 1 saturday. They were always staggered saturdays so you could attend all 3 days of bar hopping all day long.
Westchester = Bow Only
Putnam and other closer counties are Shotgun only.
Bow and shotgun are 2 options that would shorten your commute to hunting lands. Have you and your son taken the hunter's safety course? that's step 1.
I just emailed Sam Smith's Boat Rentals because the rates are very reasonable for a 6 person pontoon boat. I can bring my own equipment up and can buy bait there and give it a shot with my family for a few hours. Still much cheaper than hiring a guide to catch some bass lol. The one guy I emailed said they target smallmouth and walleye at the end of June, not sure why they aren't targeting Lake Trout at that time of the year.
Good Luck! I'm going to Wyoming first week of October for Mule Deer/antelope otherwise I'd be interested. Can you pm me details anyway for future consideration?

Looks like I will be in the area of Otsego Lake around the end of June for a few days. I looked up the fishing on Otsego Lake and found they have trout, walleye, bass, perch, maybe salmon, etc. I also found several fishing charter services.
Does anybody have any additional info on this lake? I'm wondering if its worthwhile to pay for a charter as opposed to just wetting a line from shore? I don't have a motorboat, so my only real options to fish this lake are from shore or hire someone.
Thanks in advance!
