  1. The aftermath of dinner at Mastro's in Beverly Hills. Ribeye with truffle butter, creamed spinach, mashed taters, lobster mac and cheese. Butter cake and key lime pie for desert. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. Heading to Los Angeles for a week in February. North Myrtle Beach for Easter week and then a week on the Cape in July.
  3. I have a newer Lodge and two very old skillets that were my great-great grandmothers (a Griswold and a Wagner). The old pans are definitely a better quality but aren't easy to come by. That being said, I have no complaints with the Lodge. You can get a 10" Lodge for under 30 bucks.
  4. 4 doe and a spike so far. Got in a little late as we get to our property and I realize my rifle is still in my truck at my parents house. 45 minutes round trip and ended up having to walk in at first light. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. We do not bow hunt but have been out to our property a few times to prep ground blinds and do a little scouting. We have seen very little sign and few deer. Areas that consistently year to year have scrapes and rubs there is nothing. Established runs are not there. We are in the southern portion of 4C in Rensselaer County.
  6. I was working in the office and one of my coworkers said that a plane flew into the WTC. We figured it had to be a small plane or possibly a helicopter. When we heard a second plane hit we knew it had to be terrorism. Went to a conference room and turned on the news. Watched the towers fall on TV. It was pretty surreal. Several of my coworkers were on the train down to NYC for a meeting with the Port Authority at the time the planes hit. Thankfully for them, it was an afternoon meeting.
  7. He's young and in good shape. Literally a sink or swim situation. The adrenaline had to be pumping like crazy. He was REAL lucky his car drifted off to the side of the flood waters and got caught up.
  8. Heard from my in-laws last night that my BIL was driving home from work on 17 in Jersey during the storm and was hit by a wave of water that came over the median Jersey barrier. Car started to fill up with water and was getting swept away. He had to climb out window onto roof and rode it until his car got hung up on some higher ground on the edge of the rushing water and he was able to jump off and get his way out of it. He was real lucky.
  9. At first glance I thought that was a bottle of bourbon....
  10. Keltic Kitchen is great. We've eaten there a couple times while staying in Dennis Port.
  11. I work for a state agency. We were just informed by HR that vaccinated individuals can ditch the mask and no social distancing.
  12. I got it so I didn't have to carry around the vax card that doesn't fit in my wallet but I haven't been anywhere yet where I've been asked for proof of vax - stores, hotels, restaurants, daughter's basketball tournaments.....
  13. Eastern Massachusetts had a severe gypsy moth caterpillar outbreak a few years ago. Driving out to the Cape on I-90 and down 495 there were huge areas of woods that looked like it was winter - completely stripped bare. Hope it's not as bad here this year. They actually were first brought to Massachusetts by a guy to use for silk production. "The gypsy moth was brought to North America in 1869 by an artist named Mr. L. Trouvelot in a misguided attempt to breed a hardy silkworm. Some escaped and the first recorded defoliation by gypsy moth was in 1889 of the street trees in Trouvelot's own neighborhood of Medford, Massachusetts."
  14. Happy Birthday! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. Our pup Gracie. 7 month old lab-boxer mix. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. At my daughters basketball tournaments, after playing 40 minutes of full contact basketball with masks pulled down under their chins the whole time, they do a "good game" wave from their respective benches. It's ridiculous.
  17. My daughter plays AAU basketball. They are required to wear masks but half of the girls have them pulled down under their chins while on the court. Haven't heard anyone complain about it. Oddly my daughter prefers to have hers pulled all the way up under her eyes.
  18. I fish mainly for bass on ADK lakes. I have one of my spinning reels spooled up with 8lb Trilene XT low-vis green and the other with the same in 10lb. Been using this line for years with no issues.
  19. Was gonna say that looks like half a senko on a jig head.....
  20. She's a cutie! Looks to have similar features as our boxador pup. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
