I'm old fashion in this respect. Still like to judge distance with my own eye finder.

Congrats on catching a very nice bass!

Did you get any of their sheds?

This is where New York officials have fallen short of a nice opportunity. They have missplayed the cards they were dealt, and opened up a new can of worms. All they had to do is look at other states and review their success and failures. Use this in some of the decision making. Politics taking over, once again.

Nope. Must posses a Muzzleloading Hunting Privilege for early bow, late muzzleloader seasons, watch a movie online, and fill out and carry a Crossbow Certificate of Qualification, stating your watched the movie. The certificate are in the 14- 15 guide booklet or on line. Regular Season use are covered under your Big Game License. They are considered a firearm in New York State. They still allow hunting in Clarence? LOL.

Don't forget a pen!

I believe they call it the Warrensberg garage sale. It's a garage sale lovers dream! LOL. It's hugh and I like to go back to it someday.Take lots of money and something to haul with. Some nice fishing at Lake George. Their bow season open Sept. 27th, LOL.

Must have Muzzlerloader Tag to use crossbow
landtracdeerhunter replied to HectorBuckBuster's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Yep, it's a muzzlebow now. Just prime the bolt and shoot, LOL. Next season, they will have the crossbow license in place for $15 more. -
Hitting brassicas already!

Nice salad. Bring you own dressing, LOL. -
All I see is increased revenue for the state when a muzzleloader license is required for Southern Zone early bow hunting season crossbow usage. Some want to hunt early bow with a crossbow- (muzzleloader), with no intentions of hunting muzzleloader season. I see it as raising license fees without raising license fees. What a crock. Another business tax free zone scam. The state just made my mind up. Crossbow will hang another year, once more.

Interesting! So now the crossbow is a muzzleloader, LOL When did they offer promotional prices on hunting, fishing and trapping license. Must have missed that one.

2014 HuntingNY Deer Contest
landtracdeerhunter replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Hunting New York Annoucements and News
Team based worked well for the first turkey contest. Then when they went to the single players, I believe that more liked it. Participation jumped dramatically. -
No more Hunting/Fishing regs booklets?
landtracdeerhunter replied to jim335's topic in General Chit Chat
Got my hunting book with the license. Then when I went to get the dog license, she handed me another. I handed it back. Maybe this is why they run short? -
In my book, their's no one way to get them out and up for bucthering. Hell, I'd carry one on my back, if need be. Just to get some nice fresh venison in the freezer, LOL.

Congrats to him! I've attended like four of these events pre 2011. My past BIL entered many of these BassMaster contests. IDK, he had like 40 grand invested ,without the truck to pull boat and trailer. The one I remember the most, was the March of Dimes one on Lake Erie. They donate quite a chunk of change.

Don't it just make you all fuzzy inside knowing you helped out a person in need. Nice coat! Can we get some modeling pics, LOL.

Zonal Flow of the jet stream has been NW. to SE. for the better part of 10 months or so now. I would agree that a colder than normal winter is in store, if this pattern holds. The northern branch of the jet stream winds are expected to dip father south earlier. Lows pressure systems are steered by these winds. Clockwise rotation around these lows will make wind directions come from the NE, to the NW right over the non frozen waters of Lake Ontario. Better oil up your shovels, cause friends, we're going to get some good old lake effect snow, this winter. The only way to shut off the lake effect machine is to have cold enough temps. and wind to freeze the lake. Lake Ontario only froze over once since records have been kept, and we sure don't want to see that.

They start eating the tops here usually next month. It's highly fluid on other food sources.
-
Don't bow, let'em grow, LOL.
-
Polar Vortex is nothing more than the northern branch of the jet stream moving farther south than it usually does for that time of year. Nothing new here. Can remember several historic starts to the mid October Southern zone bow season with a foot of lake effect snow on the ground.

Few of my favorites.

anyone own a kioti or mahindra tractor?
landtracdeerhunter replied to SplitG2's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Split, their both version of the 55 gear. The DK55 had the highest lifting capacity in that size tractor going. Add a 3pt hitch lever on the rear of the tractor to raise and lower 3 pt. hitch without having to go in the cab. Telescoping lower 3 pt. hitch links make hookup a breeze. Safety feature on p.t.o. stops rotation if the 3 pt. is lifted to high. The 4 cylinder 134 cu. in. turbo charged engine is "very" fuel friendly. Customers said they can work the tractor on 3 quarts of diesel/ hour. They were a very easy tractor to sell at the time. Don't forget todays tractor are rated gross engine HP.. Subtract 7 hp. more for p.t.o.. Kioti hp. are advertised low. I've dyno several 55's and they all were 52 p.t.o. hp.. I owned a 55C for a while and really hated to sell it to a customer. It was such a user friendly unit. The only complaint I had was the fiber glass hood. My brush lines scraped it up pretty good. -
Caught a view of this guy this year, but he wasn't wearing this head gear.

I sold some DK 65's which to my knowledge are still going strong. They were the largest Kioti sold at the time. I have several 55's C in the field, one 2005 longing over 6000 engine hours to date. They just had to rebuild the shuttle tran. Still had the original clutch which wasn't slipping.
