Replace the head bolts on reassembly. If you don't, expect to do the job over again, soon.

How to remove top layer of growth?
landtracdeerhunter replied to greenecounty's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I cut and bale all my fields before I choose which ones to work. All that is left are an inch or two of stems. -
Trying to help Mr. Astorino by getting some new Republic voters registered. In talking to people, it amazes me how many are not registered to vote. They have strong views against Cuomo, but don't take a few minutes of their lives to cast a ballot against him. My whole family is proudly voting for Rob Astorino, a clear choice for New York Governor!

More than a week. Cause: Take a look at their fresh water sources. Some puddles start to get toxic this time of year. High levels of nitrates and acids. -
Anybody Plant Corn this Late...

Yeah, roll the dice. Looks like snake eyes again this year, so far. -
Anybody Plant Corn this Late...
landtracdeerhunter replied to Pav2704's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Your pushing into mid-late September, provided we get the growing degree days. You have the seed, why not plant and take the chance. If you carry the seed over, you can bet on 50% germination if that. Just another way to look at it. I fought the same battle last year, and it looks like this year repeats. Switching to all radish, which are deer palatable into February. -
If you do decide F150, better grab it this year. They we be hauling Pepsi in them in 15.

I could understand a full rack with velvet from low testosterone levels with a castration.

Why do people put this on the internet?
landtracdeerhunter replied to ATbuckhunter's topic in General Chit Chat
Boy the deer are hammering those Daikon's. Anyone notice the Walker Game Ear? Deer don't seem to mind the music much. -
Your tomatoes have smut. Wet humid weather grows the fungus. Most common in cereral grains usually but garden plants can catch it. They turn black as the ace of spades. Spreads rapidly and is air born. Dryer weather will control the fungus. On the onset of infected fruit, get it off the plant.

Those that are selenophobic and or friggatriskaidekaphobia may not want to leave the house. You see it's Friday the 13th with a full moon. If you get a chance tonight, get out and view the full moon on this Friday the 13th. First time in nearly a century. Next one won't take place till 2049.

Collecting Old Bottles, China, Other Things
landtracdeerhunter replied to landtracdeerhunter's topic in General Chit Chat
Wooly, that Mason Improved Top is like mine, but mine came with the bottle and most of the metal band in tack. Can you or anyone else shed any historical facts about'em? -
Another nice recovery. Boy, a real nice length G 2 on that one with mass. He ought to make a beauty, come bow,

Ontario Knife Company Expanding
landtracdeerhunter replied to landtracdeerhunter's topic in General Chit Chat
Ontario makes a number of U.S. Military Issue fixed blades, machetes, and bayonets. They also make some really nice folders. They have one that's named the XM-1 Extreme. A military folder that is a supper unit. Many China clones, but miles apart from the original Ontario's. Congrats to the Ontario Knife company. Still believing in New York. -
Nice to see a hunting related company expanding in NY, for a change. Please excuse my uploading. Ontario Knife breaks ground on expansion - Olean Times Herald News - Ontario Knife breaks ground on expansion News.htm

Woolys bottle posting started me thinking of all the neat stuff I have seen while into the shed hunting mode. Not into it much, but did find some cool items ( I guess). I have to take some pics of some of it. Back in March, I nearly stepped onto a saucer, that I researched dating back into the 1890'S made by Royal Ironstone China company of England. Still in pretty good shape. One other was a Bally Improved green glass canning jar with a star cover. Many other medicine bottles, some partially cracked or broken. Any other people like collecting these items?
