My tag is always off to one side of my back. Back tags make to much noise for us tree huggers. It sometimes under my orange breakup vest during firearms season. I note this just for Bubba, LOL.

TURKEY REPORTS - SPRING 2014
landtracdeerhunter replied to TurkeyHuntPA_NY's topic in Turkey Hunting
Some beekeepers say that wild turkey eat live honey bees. The turkey will stand at the hive in the early am. or late eve, peck on the hive until the bees come out and feast. I have only witnessed them scratching and picking sorts from the front of the hive that the bee will drop off the front entrance. Wax moth larve along with some of the dead bees, that die in the hive. A good turkey hunting area. -

Your talking about Kathy Hochul. We'll chew on this friends, The Erie County Chapter of Scope give her an A+ rating and said and I quote, " She is a friend of the Second Amendment. They endorsed her when she ran back in 2010 for the 26th district seat in a special lop sided election that was held. When she was Erie County Clerk, she was to speed up pistol permits down from the 12 to 18 month waiting period, by having reps. at area gun shows. I don't know if this ever happen. Scope went all " gun hoe" over that deal also. -
Because it can't be unlike anymore.

landtracdeerhunter replied to TurkeyHuntPA_NY's topic in Turkey Hunting
Yes friends, another Spring turkey season has come and gone. Successfull for some, tagging a bird or two. For others, the sheer excitement of encountering this foul, deem success. What was gained or taught by this sharp eyed spy, shall gain future knowledge, for you and I. Congrats to all, and we'll see you in the Fall. -

A state like no other, thank God for that, for if it were so true; then all would be soon forgotten, and New York's citizens wouldn't be so blue. landtracdeerhunter -

Let the dog out at 3:30 am. . Heard gobbling from across the street on posted land. Misplaced my tin foil hat, LOL. Let an old habit like work, get in my way. Dag gone it! -
I agree, that's how to hunt a turkey. An incredible hunt, with a perfect outcome. Congrats! Don't forget to enter those birds in the turkey contest. Didn't see your first bird, but you could be near the top of the points.

In some instances, Soil and Water will have to be notified anyway. Wetland classifications are a touchy subject.

Congratulations wooly! Your style of hunting is super ( supper, lol), to say the least. The reaps of harvest is an added bonus. I can really appreciate a person of your caliper! Any plans for the future of that fine bird?

Seeing fawns up this way, while out flapping the wings for turkey. Some have a pretty good head start already. Just haven't had the light conditions for filming, as of yet. Daylight movement of doe are at a high level also. My cams are in the closet. Not footing the bill for others to steal and enjoy. They will return a field, when this world become more sane again! Gone back to more personal viewing. -
I may have missed your post. Did this turkey come in silent? Pretty much every one I've called in, past years has been silent. It's so easy to miss or think you've hit the record button. Done it a few times. And just to add a note, I find it far easier to film out of a blind, less detection of movement, by the keen eye of turkey.

Congrats Lawdwaz on fine family achievements! Great major accomplishment for a life time of fulfillment! I remember winning concert tickets to the Beach Boys off KB radio back years ago. I suppose today is KISS.
