  1. Are their any honey bees working the blossoms?
  2. Use to grow buckwheat for pancake flour. Planted it from June 10th to July 20th.That way, had half a chance to get some yield from some field. Buckwheat don't like hot weather, blossoms will blast and not set seed. They call it the poor mans crop, because it never needed fert.. Emits a chemical from the roots to kill weed seed, seedling. Don't know how much deer like it, but turkeys do.
  3. Recorded 5 inches in Lockport, Niagara County; this afternoon. What a mess out here! We're not alone I understand some parts of central NY. are also in bad shape. Hope everyone stays safe!
  4. Have had 1 2/10" from 8 last night till 8:30 this morning. Steady light rain continues. Rainy day on Sundays always get me down.( Classic from the Carpenters)
  5. Heavy downpours started a 8 last evening, through the night. Ditches are full, yet again.
  6. Went back to pull SD card after a month, where seeing the buck during turkey, and said it was locked. What a dissapointment.
  7. A sandwich called the Po Boy at the Brickyard up in Lewiston. Love that sandwich. Their ribs are killer. They have the best BBQ.
  8. The first pics looks like he doing a commercial for Cuddyback. Fast trigger speed on that Covert. Nic pics!
  9. Wow, hope everything works out in time for bow, speedy recovery.
  10. It's is the nicest to zip around in. Puts the J in driving again.
  11. Ouch, how the h..... did u do that on a canoe?
  12. Only sore for a while, then u build up to be a muscle machine. It tough riding the way back down, however.
  13. Drive a hamster car, 34 mpg city. Love the stick 6.
  14. I was going to suggest maybe plow down some of the debris. By your description, you're have a certain degree of plow plugging, but just try it with one spot. May work better then u think. I've plow down ( using 2- 14" )some pretty nasty stuff, and the outcome was good for late summer planting, considering. The coulters of the plow give the most trouble. And yes, LOL, I would definely get Radish planted, somewhere on that property. Their like a deer magnet, pulling power right into late winter. I'm sold on them. Planted about 50 lb. at 8 lb. / acre. Would be ideal to break the ground up. We were seeing deer right through into muzzleloading season. Working on posting pics for u.
  15. We have army worms too. Not near the numbers of last years. If one sees black birds in the hay, army worms are present. Must be easy pick'ins for them. Took a few pics yesterday. Would think spray would be diluted by the rain.
  16. Anyone ever try landing a deer into a boat by yourself. Can make for an utmost interesting experience, believe me.
  17. Oats and peas thrive in damp, cooler weather, but not soggy grounds. The oats around here are heading out too, which is very early. The peas look very good, but hot weather will reduce tonage/ acre. Some of the pea ground here, once harvested usaully go into green, edible beans, and sweet corn. A year like this will reduce acreage, not doubt. Also had trouble planting beets.
  18. With all this wet weather, the frogs are all over the place, even in the fields. Frog legs in the freezer this year. Yummy.
  19. Sound like a very honest shop. They treated u , more then fair.
  20. This weather pattern is hard to swollow, after a year like last. Just refuses to straighten up and dry out. I hear, rice is a valauble crop. Keeps up, I'LL be putting rice tires on the tractor. Already got duals for the baler.
  21. Products review hold very little value in my book. With that being said, good luck in your quest to find a good lawn mower. A good mower to some, is a piece of junk to others. I refuse to promote anyones product. I don't want to be held responsable for u buying a headace!, LOL.
