  1. It's tough to comment, as once I think I've got these turkey figured out, they throw me a curve ball.
  2. Some very nice crisp clear pics. Can u give me some info on your homebrews?
  3. I believe that gun was manufactured in Spain which means the screw is metric. Might be a little more difficult finding.
  4. I got a breech plug and mounting screws for my CVA from Buds Gun Shop online. Ran around $11 plus shipping. They have a kit for the screws with was a couple dollars. They also have some nice options available.
  5. Add one more. Enjoyed last years. Thanks WNY. for setting this up.
  6. This is crazy! It's turned to night at 3:15 p.m.. Thunder storms, heavy rain, and hail at 40 degrees.
  7. That chart doesn't make any sense. The disclaimer says it all.
  8. Ya Hoo, the 2013 Hunting NY Turkey Classic is a go!
  9. It'll be nice to get out for turkey. Practicing on the calling, gears all set, blinds in place, and the gun, we'll yet say their always room for improvement. Even been practicing with the bow out of the spare blind. Less surface area than a deer. To get one with a bow, now that would be something!
  10. Government control of farms, nothing new here folks. Government has played a large part in farming what I can remember, way back in the 60's, called the soil bank, in which government paid farmers to leave the lands fallow. The programs have changed, but the benefit are still played by the American farmer. The author of the article, fails to mention, the financial backing received by todays farmer from government run programs. Sometime, all the facts are not brought to the table.
  11. That worked. Getting way off subject. My turkey vocals also bring deer in, LOL.
  12. Plenty of time, getter done. Did u get your rake?
  13. Welcome to HuntingNY.com. Congrats. on the deer!
  14. If that wind would subside, it would be nice out.
  15. Do u suppose turnips are fit for human consumption now? Ran out of parsnips.
  16. Betterbee in Greenwich, NY is a good company to deal with. This link might help. Don't forget your apiary permit. Edit: Link didn't work well, but will get u into. Home - Empire State Honey Producers Association, Inc.htm
  17. Mount on each side of rake for depth control.
