  1. Deer hunting near the radish. Might take the bow if the winds right. Hope we get some dark days.
  2. This is bad, the way u described it. I'd take his actions very seriously. Call the state police and file a report about the guy firing the rounds into the woods looking at u. Get it in writting. I don't know if I would want to even hunt that area, knowing a crazy is hunting right next door. He's a time bomb, ready to blow and I wouldn't want to be around when the fragments are flying.
  3. A confirmation? In this state, lucky we don't have to use 2 cans with a string tied between, LOL.
  4. I believe that we have lost the concept of what televisions shows really are created for. They are for entertainment purposes . This holds true for every subject matter. I think the days of watching the radio may be more valuable, than most of these shows that air today.
  5. Doesn't look to good right through the weekend for snow. Got the makings of last year written all over again. Actually, December temps are running warmer this year then last, here. Makes for an interesting walk in. Evenings have been more successful lately.
  6. I can see Docs point. It looks bad to have these animals caught in a trap alive. But I can also see the other side, having a successful set come in and being proud of the harvest. This is a real tough one. Welcome to the real world. The world of the hidden unknowns. I am neutral, in this matter right now.I trapped 35 years ago, and just took a refresher trapping coarse this past August, so I do have a little background.
  7. Yes I agree. Their are at least 3 subject threads that could spin off this.
  8. Moderators; This is a harvest thread. Think it should be kept that way and move this discussion to another new thread. It is a very interesting topic to discuss.
  9. That's sure a recipe for cold feet. Have to get out the duct tape.
  10. Guess your left holding the bag, LOL.
  11. Like it or not, we've got 4 more years of this guy. 56 million people can't be wrong. Worst case of the flu; got it on election night.
  12. I recall a thread on here. I believe if you put dish soap on a paper towel, covering them with the soap, they will back out on the towel. Can't find the link, but maybe someone can.
  13. I miss the trust that people use to have. Where did that go? Seems like know one trust anyone today. I miss the simple life, the one without all the worries of tomorrow. I miss the happiness, people use to share. I miss the unity, this country use to have. I miss the value of the dollar. Just a few, folks.
  14. That top is one rare pic, for this late in the season, but also shows why. He's still got growing to do. Potential to add 20" more next year. Keep feeding the protein.
  15. Awesome evening sit for the first day of muzzle. Nice encounter with a couple small doe and 5 young at 30 yd... Had 1 young jump a ditch, landing in the water 20' up wind from where I was sitting. 3 others came out about 200 yd, up wind. They came out about 4:40 pm, would of passed anyways, but I enjoyed the viewing time till dark. It's kind of the laid back, fun time of the season and I wouldn't miss it for the world.
  16. Very nice indeed. Big fat does break u in right, LOL.
  17. I always use the phone. Stuck on the old way, I guess.
  18. That one looks similar to mine, but in Mossy Oak. Same basic design, but mine has a removable inner liner. Rest of the description is the same. Called a Gamehide made in Sri Lanka. Got it in Gallions for $60 reduced, after Christmas.
  19. Always amazing that those big ones can get through nearly 10 weeks of season, then show back up on the home turf. They must have some stories to tell the grand kids, LOL. If u muzzleload hunt, good luck. If not, hope to see u with the sheds.
  20. Want to get the buck to doe ratio back in check. For some reason, doe have come in. Think it's the food source. Also would like to get a first muzzleloader deer. Might as well do my part to raise the dmp success rate. A lot of gun shots during regular season, and a lot of misses too.
  21. Heading out for last shot gun sit. Muzzleloader tomorrow!
