    Smell like a deer., one of your best cover scents. And use the scent from deer from different areas if possible. They don't all smell the same to a deers nose.We don't rely on the wind . Can't trust fall, early winter wind directions. To active weather patterns usually.

    When crossing the trail of a stinky rutting buck. You know he's big, just by the strong smell. There's nothing like it or can either come close.

    We just got hit again. That makes over 4" of rain this week. We had brown outs this morning. Couldn't see much damage however. Few small limbs, alot of leaves.

Their's a line of storms, gusty winds, and heavy rain, preceding the strong cold front, just entering N.Y.. Could be strong. Be safe! Update: Just was posted Severe Thunder Storm Warning for the Western counties.

    Some of the farmers are down in hay production as much as 20% here, due to the army worm and drought. They have planted sudan grass just to catch up, myself included They say hay is going to be dear this year , way up in price. Beef is going to take a steep hike.

    Nice to have left over deer meat this time of year. You don't realize how much u rely on the meat until a lean year pops up. Then u really miss it.

    Peterson Bowhunting magazine is a good one. Still have all my copies from years ago and chucked full of usefull info. Bow and Bowhunting magazine was good too, but they turned me off when they sent me a cheap video and belt buckle without my request. Then they sent me a bill for some inflated amount wanting me to buy or send it back. I kept the stuff and never renwed the subscription again. What nerve.

    Got a hind quarter that's all boned out and going into sausage. Once that happens, it won't last long. Don't have time to make sausage during deer season. Grow, need to have a forum party, lol.
