  1. Selling the rack would probably fetch enough to retire.
  2. I dont believe I have given a reason for why I feel it should stay illegal. Again I do not think the arguement about booze, pills, ect matters. I don't feel more legal drugs are a good thing for society thats my reasoning and only one. I understand where your coming from and thats okay. Alot of my friends agree with you about legalizing it. But do not think for a second its being legalized for any other reason than tax dollars. If they give out permits for growing like they did for medicinal grow permits there will only be a few large companies that profit. And those companies will have lobbyists for sure to keep laws in their favor. And when it is legalized will the government release all prisoners that were convicted of marijuana charges? Will they also expunge criminal records of such charges? I dont think so. I think the law will become stricter to protect those big companies. Drug czars protect there business at all costs. It may become worse than it is already.
  3. I dont think the police focus much on weed anyways. I am sure there maybe a few that do but not many. I am sure its a sleep aid and may have other things it helps with. I just dont think it should be legal for recreational use. Again I am not against using but when legalized it will be abused more than it is now. And the argument about booze, pills, ect doesn't work for me. 2 wrongs don't make a right, imo.
  4. I really think that legalizing weed is a bad idea, and I ain't against the use of it. I just think making easier to get will be bad. Its already easy to come by, but lets make it acceptable? The only reason its being lealized is for money, period. All the other reasons are BS.
  5. I would. Thats why I bow hunt. More time in the woods. I love to hunt deer
  6. I am pretty sure i will be there. Daughters birthday is jan. 5th but wife said its fine.
  7. I keep them away from old logging roads and trails. Also nothing near property lines. I have yet to have my hunting gear stolen but I only hunt private land. People have a tendency to follow those 2 things when walking around in the woods. I know most land owners around the properties i hunt. Also I guess people think I am a mean sob, so that could be a deterrent for some.
  8. The Democrats wont support funding the wall because they are playing politics. If the wall gets built it hurts them in 2020 and helps Trump. And the Republicans are sitting quiet cause most don't want to help him neither. They don't seem any better. Should have already happened.
  9. Although I did not agree with the money given to Iran, I do understand why. It was a a debt owed by Americans from a previous generation.
  10. Seen one at 7, nothing since but squirrels. Seems warm for muzzle loader season and no snow here. Nice morning though.
  11. Getting ready to head out in 8y. I only have 2 more days then gotta wait 10 months to hunt them again. Good luck everyone.
  12. Thanks for the info guys. Went and looked at stoney pond tonight. Only had about an hour of light but found several fresh tracks in the snow. Found a spot to sit. Gonna give it a try in the am before training.
  13. Thanks, I didn't see any special regulations on dec website. Do you know if there are any
  14. Thanks. I do bow hunt but I did not bring my bow only my muzzle loader.
  15. I am at training for work the next 3 days. I was wondering if anyone knows of any land in the area I could explore in my free time and attempt to muzzle load for a deer. I see some county land on google maps but not sure if hunting is allowed. Thanks
  16. I have known alot of great hunters. I have always tried to learn from them as much as I could. I know who I put on the top of my list and when he gives advise I listen to what he has to say. When I was younger discouraged and hanging it up for the season he would show up with a deer. I have killed bigger buck than him but it was from listening to his advise that put me in the right place at the right time. He showed me how to be a good outdoorsman and a good man. It saddens me now to see him be unable to do the things he once could without effort it seemed. Thank you dad for all you taught me.
  17. After you release your buck from the pen how many hours do you wait before trying to hunt them?
  18. On your farm, haha. At least you were honest. thanks for the clarification.
  19. Great hunters don't brag, but rather share. I am sure plenty can post pics and share stories. Perhaps even help their fellow hunters, and thank you to those that do.
  20. If true bow hunters who care about being more proficient than the rest of us slob hunters that run and gun deer really are looking for the most challenging way to hunt and kill deer, I would think the elitist would be out there with a traditional bow all gun season hunting only heavily hunted state land showing the rest of us how to get it done. Just wanted to add my 2 cents. But really there are good arguments from both sides and I can see where everyone comes from. I kinda like how it is. A longer hunting season got me into bowhunting. No other reason. I like using different weapons. I don't thing hunting with a compound is any harder to kill a deer in October with than killing a deer the 3rd week of gun season is. The bowhunters should agree with this since there biggest complaint i keep reading on here is no deer seen since opening weekend of gun.
