    I feel you should shoot what makes you happy. I have killed big and small bucks in NY and am always pleased with my success. Their are big bucks out there now, you just have to find and hunt them And if your happy with a spike then I am happy for you. I hate the idea that we should all have to abide by another law that can not be enforced.

    The buck I killed saturday am was coming down a trail with 6 scrapes within 100 yards.

    I got my first crossbow buck yesterday morning. A basket rack 8 point around 8 am. I was on the ground sitting in a blow down watching a squirrel when the squirrel took of running down the hill. I looked over my left shoulder and seen horns coming through thick beech brows. I picked an open spot 30 yards and when he stepped in he stopped downwind and stared right at me. It was a quarting toward me shot. I took the shot and he took off running in a circling direction and out of sight. I waited for my buddy before tracking. We found him dead about 100 yards from the shot. I was disappointed to find the mechanical part of my hybrid broadhead didn't open but the placement of the arrow got if done. The broadhead was a bloodsport, and the crossbow is a Barnett doa rated at 385 fps.

    Just shot buck , not finding arrow, but good blood, now gotta wait, and hope rain goes away

    Wood looks better but synthetic is lighter and easier to clean imo.

    I have not hunted AR in ny but my experience in pa since AR is fewer deer by far. Totally against them personally.

    Sharpe may not take votes from Cuomo but I think people who wouldn't have voted are going to turn out to vote for him. The people I know especially under 30 seem very interested in Sharpe and are all going to vote for him. I feel somethings in this state need to change and the GOP left all of us out to dry. The GOP gave up, and Malinaro is as bad as Cuomo with respect to our 2nd amendment rights. He already said he won't change the safe act and believes we need more common sense gun laws.

    I could argue he is against them using the same tweets that you just did. He said the community should decide what is best for them.

    I use my rifle if I plan on sitting and use my 870 if i am still hunting. The 870 has an old weaver scope on it that works great when jumping deer and shooting as long as it stays dry.

    Larry Sharpe has the best ideas of the candidates running imo. I felt he didn't have a chance a couple of months ago, however almost everyone I have talked to about the governor race brings his name up, and alot of people say they're voting for him. He is the only one who is willing to defend our 2nd amendment right, so I will be voting for him. I will not support the Republican or Democrat canidate that will take away more of my rights. That to me feels like selling out.

    I have had a bit of success mid day. If you can sst up close to bedding, or between 2 bedding areas even better. Deer get up and move mid day just not ussually out into open fields. An area I hunt is full of bushes just outside of pines and the deer almost always come out and browse on the bushes. I only hunt there during mid day because of all the activity at that time. Last year killed a doe there around 1230

    Walking through and bumping them in a field ruins an area pretty quick. If you don't have another way in I would hunt that area at a different time.

    Baiting is the same as a food plot except one is legal and one is not. They both can effect how wildlife behave. That being said I started some food plots this year. Very addictive.

    I just leased from cotton hanlon. Easy and painless. They return my messages immediately, and answer the phones when I call. So far so good. I looked into hunting lease network land a couple of years ago and no one contacted me back.

    Grew up with woodstove. I don't miss doing firewood at all.

    Seen a buck, not sure what it was because of brush it was in. Also seen a baby and momma 10 minutes later. Watched a coon eating berries off another bush for awhile. Had a button buck under my stand for about half an hour tonight till about 645. Good first evening sit. Congrats to those who killed today.

    Cops won't do anything if she reported to them 30 years later, but seems like she found a way to make it get noticed. It is horrific when someone is assaulted, and almost as bad when a false claim is reported because of the doubt it creates for real victims.
