Doc , ok u keep putting gun in the season.. it is an archery season. stick and string required season ..they are the same unless your using a traditional set up of a long bow or recurve. I can understand your stance if you were arguing for a tradition early season for that. As all compounds and most crossbows are using technology far surpassing that. Yes weapons that have a sting as a propellant are all classified the same and choice of that weapon that uses a string in that season should all be the same. Unless you want a traditional archery season (wood limbs and string) do discriminate against any weapon in that range is childish. And yes the gun hunters petitioned for years to allow rifle in shotgun areas.. guess what you can choose any weapon that uses a powder propellant in gun season!!! (Shotgun,rifle,pistol,muzzleloader)!!! It's your choice!!! Same as it should be for all archery equipment in archery season!! See the similarity??

So you can't get enjoyment out of being close using your recurve or long bow unless you have it in a special season? Why would you feel bad using it at all they give you the choice. Just admit your upset someone who may use a weapon with perhaps a further range may shoot "your " deer.. they have separate record books for just this reason. And separate requirements as well. Simple scout more put in more effort so when Oct 1 comes you are in position to kill the animal you want. Using your choice of weapon!!

Yep I remember traditional archers getting crapped on when compound bows were legalized (and way.more primitive) .enliven more so than today's recurve xbows ..then the fight for using a release( because it more accurate) then for fiberoptic pins .. things the crossbow does with stick and string as well.. but like the black guns they are scary apparently.. so go against full inclusion. My comment was just showing they didn't give traditional bow their own season when compounds were introduced it was full inclusion immediatly.. so to be fair to the traditionalists.i guess they ow them a 2 week only.traditional season if xbox is limited to 2 weeks

The man that taught me to Turkey hunt could and did kill a bird on his own no matter where he went( has several grand slams) was not much of a deer hunter but learning/knowing how to read the lay of the land helped me master deer as well. One man I truly miss...rip

The only no I hear are all personal beliefs. Fact it and scientifically they are a stick and a string. All I ever here is how the should.manage scientifically.. yet here is science stating us in the face and yet some don't believe..maybe the world is flat to tem as well. Besides their own belief there is no reason not to have it full inclusion unless there is a separate traditional archery season( no release long now or recurve finger tab only) that the view of it logically.

CLR cost you a couple bucks at your local.grocery store.. after that heat it up and blue it.. last for years.

A longer gun season doesn't work.. almost 90% of deer are shot the 1st 2 weekends.. if anything having a 2 week gun. Then closing hunting for 2 weeks a d having another 2 weeks would do far more. Both out seasons are way to long and consecutive. Even a split archery season would do more for numbers . 2 weeks ..2 weeks no hunting... 2 weeks hunting.. the calm and return to normal.patterens. The biggest complaint is too much pressure causes deer to go nocturnal.. this eliminates that to a point.

A "FIREARM" IS NOT a crossbow as much as you may think it looks like one . Your a smart guy I can't believe you can even put this up as an argument in bow.. to show your side.. May as just say howitzer for as dumb as that makes your statement look

It depends what kind of seed your planting. Ground temps for germination are important. I've started clearing /enlarging a few spots last fall.. but I have 3 in of snow on ground still.

I really wish there was away to see how many are really " new "hunters vs bow hunters that just pick one up as something new to use.. as I've said my observations and the comments here are about 10 bow hunters, to 1 gun hunter buying in. It seems the fear of guys gonna get the deer or mess up my hunting is not the case. As most are bow hunters who would be out there anyway.. now is the time to make it a bow stamp requirement and fully include it imo before the grandfathered in rule takes effect and shot placement and. Strategy is lost on an influx of gun crossovers continues to grow.

5000 watt will work ,don't need a back feed if you have service disconnect already after meter. Pull disconnect and start generator. Just hook up a 220 plug and feed into that. Will run a whole house. If you have a tractor you can buy a gen for the pto and run off that ..runs longer (especially if its a desiel and can store gen inside so brushes don't rust. Another option is power inverter to run off your cars motor.. Pull disconnect and run cord to where. You need it

No it's g.p.m. that's what your buying it's also the reason hydrolic drive tractors lose so much hp.. second thing you need to look at is hp. And where they rate it from ..many use motor.. best tell you on drawbar or pto.. though my dk35 list as 35 hp it's really 38 on the bar..

Yep they aren't as easy as made out to be..and actually many crossbow users practice all season because they can't unlock so they carry a block to shoot into.. where the compound user who practices all year one season comes just takes off his arrow and walk into camp or get in his truck...and next time off is hunting not practicing.. so they may go several.weeks not releasing an arrow...

A seperate season so they would have to use muzzleloader as it's only.legal thing.. and the chances of thay happening in a year is non existent..we can't get archery equipment together for full inclusion in 5 so far..

The x bow is still archery equipment. The Dec goal is to take deer . The crossbow may allow them to do that. ( by upping sucess rates from the miserable low 10's it is now. Muzzleloader is not archery equipment. If they want a seperate early season they can have one i dont have a problem with it
