  6. VnHad a good morning snuck into a natural ground blind at 445 am as it lightens up I can see 6 birds roosted 20 to 40 yards from us. At 545 bird let's out gobble 40 yard behind us, a second let out a single gobble, they both flew down 40 yards out in a small meadow , the birds below us were dropping from their roosts as well. The 2 Tom's walked to my right while my friend watched them unable to shoot past me as i had back to them. They dropped over the edge of ridge and disappeared from sight. I was able to shift and got gun up clicked 2x on my favorite slate and they popped up enough for a shot at 35 yards for me. My friend wasnt able to shoot past me to get second bird, but it was an almost double.

  10. That's why I brought up hour by hour.. rain suppose to stop by 630 pm tonight or so, 2 hours to dry off fly up to roost . and birds should be happy it's not raining in am!! Sounding off well I hope! At least that's been pattern this week here

  14. Yeah its seems the dissappear here with the bobcats moved in. Maybe they will balance out, we took 3 bobcat all in archery off about 400 acres.
  15. 10 yards with your Turkey choke shooting 2 3/4 trap loads. Will be size of half dollar. Will get you close and cheaper than slugs and no need to swap chokes. Dial it in move back and check center of pattern again at 20 and 30. Then put in Turkey load and verify it's still on.
  16. They send a cd rom of all the photos they get off the camera trap every year. Use beaver meat for lure, and the box it is in has nails sticking out like barb wire, it catches hair and they do dna to identify individuals.. most I had was 2 breeding pair and 3 kits. That was 3 years ago now.. now I have bobcats..
  17. This was supposedly taken in pa 2016.
  18. I've had a dec camera trap here for Fisher for about 7 years now, and I personally run 21 cameras , and been using them since trail timer came out with a solenoid plunger for 35mm back in 93. . Last year I got 1 picture of a fisher carrying a turkey egg then none all year but several bobcat every 2 weeks. I got one Fisher a couple of weeks ago and then a bobcat showed up again, getting photos of cats and Fisher gone again... 3 years ago I had active fisher den ,last 2 years no fisher again.
  19. Pygmy, Here you go ,big fisher , this is dec camera trap photo the bottom black band is 3 ft and top is 4 ft off ground( they do this exact for size measurements. This one is around 40 in long tip of tail to nose..

  21. They were numerous here until the bobcats moved in . Then they dissapeared, asked dec biologists and they were going to be a bobcat study and see what relationships were. I'd like to trap them but season is super short and. Work gets in the way. They get big!
