My rule of thumb is I pick the top 5 bucks on camera and i try for one of them, age , score ,is irrelevant those 5 are best property offers and those are the target

Practicing .... just had to walk out to the road in near dark to tell the guy in a pick. Up to stop blowing his owl hooter and yelping. The birds are roosted 100 yards off the road behind my house , they do this every year and eventually leave from all the road harrassment.. Practice all you want I told him at home or in a non hunting area.. all the land here is private and hunted.. he wasnt happy left in a huff.. swearing at me... wish I could close off the road as 4 residents own all the land on it... smh. A little common courtesy can go a long way..

Most of the time I see someone do that on a show it's an awful shot ,at least by camera angle..lol

Well in the grand scheme of things , if you want to eat paper and score points or just kill what your trying to .. I dont think a deer cares if you kill it in the 8 ring or 10..still a dead deer

I draw a fairly low weight 52lb, and push pull while looking at my target , I really dont have to move pin onto target more than a fraction in any direction. It's on target already..

I have multiple targets 1 arrow at each , it's about the kill not groups, judging range is critical. Stopped shooting for groups several years ago breaking arrows, and nocks is way to expensive.. retrieve arrows and move targets a few steps in any direction and shoot again. Deer, turkey 3d targets, and a block or two. In fall apples thrown off deck 1 arrow each..

Drained beaver ponds are a magnet, if you can find where old dam was and back edge of pond the deer will still cross there as they learned those trails when pond existed and Teach them to their young.. the edge they greatest is always a travel lane
