I have know idea i never shot a .50 cal at a deer before But with normal size hunting bullet you are correct. -

Been hunting 35 years I know the game well . If your looking for record book deer its all about land access. You need lots of land with very little hunting. And you will get those record bucks . Not going to happen Any other way or you can walk 20 miles in the center of the adks someplace really remote And maybe find one there if you spend a week or 2 if your lucky

Not my law I just fallow them . In this state you fallow there laws . And the thing with the record book deer take it with a grain of salt . You can never know for sure how or where those deer got shot . I forgot the name of the guy but he had a bunch of record bucks that later was found out to be high fence farm rased deer and even deer he altered the racks of .:)

Your right but then there are those that say it is not" fair chase " hunting It is the same reason a lot of hunters will not hunt in fenced game preserves. They want to hunt the deer in its, natural habitat. Not a artificial one. Plus makes it easier for the deer to spread diseases to each other is the other reason .

The effect is instead of having deer spread out over the landscape like there suppose to you have have them only in the back yards of these poachers . And good luck trying to hunt the neighboring state land or property . Near by .

Plants and trees you plant are naturally in the deers environment. But the chemical crap people buy in the store is not. Plus you are able to concentrate that stuff right in one exact spot exactly when and where you want it . You fallow. You plant something there is know guarantee it's still going to be there when you want the deer to be there .

I have hunted on 40 acres with 2 other guys worked out ok . Anymore would be pushing it

My vote is any reliable multi-shot 12 gauge will do that can handle both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells . From birds to anything in north America at close range you are good to go with them .

I think if that is the case he should build a live trap to catch them something like what they use for hogs just look online for some free plans I'm sure there out there

Then you still have to waist time and money to watch over them . Still expensive who is going to watch to see if they are working . Not practical to do that . A nice big fat fine I think would help more then anything else . And with that money you can help create more park land for deer .

Seems like dogs have more rights then people these days you see them in the mall in the coffee shop even in the grocery store
