    Didn't see anything this am in the rain or this evening from 4 till 6:15,at 6:15 I looked over my shoulder through the side window of my blind and there are 2 large does about 40 yards away heading for my shooting lane. I got ready while they walked slowly,turned on my sight light and just as I was about to draw as they got in my lane about 20yrds in front of me some guy starts rapid firing his shotgun. He fired 7rnds in a row roughly every 5m until 6:45,of course then 7 does came within 30yrds once he finished but it was to dark then for a good shot so I waited for them to do their thing for 30m and walked home. I would love to know that guys name cause I'm sure he was shooting at that time for a specific reason.

    Rain has mostly stopped here in 9h but nothing but a blue Jay and the same squirrel from an hour ago.

    Same here in 9h,radar is clear but has been raining for almost 2hrs now.

    Raining again here,not as warm as yesterday though. Only thing moving are squirrels,I'm about over this 2 day raining.

    I do both bow and crossbow and besides the obvious distance advantage the other nice thing is you cock it and its done until you shoot., I have a 410fps crossbow and once the scope is dialed in 50yrd shots are easy,and were easy from the start without practice. With my compound I will not shoot over 30yrds hunting but with the crossbow I'll do 50yrds,aiming is just like a rifle or shotgun with a scope.

    Had 4 does come by at 15yrds 20m ago during the rain intermission but they were way to small to use a tag on this early,now it's dark again with thunder and heavy rain. Congrats to those that already got one today!.

    Got in my blind 30m ago right as it started raining in South Wales,60 degrees and muggy right now,didn't bump anything on the way in luckily. Good luck everyone that's out!!

    I shoot a Barnett Ghost 410 and use the Muzzy Trocar crossbow mechanicals and those shoot like fp's for me,haven't tried the fixed blades but have heard they are a bit finicky in crossbows.

    My wife found a place down by Arcade where she works that has it so I'll be taking a drive this weekend.

    I like Rhino blinds the best but even those will buckle under a real heavy snow,happened to mine 2 years ago. I now pull mine before the end of nov and just use stands the rest of the time.

    I hunted hogs all the time in Fl,like mentioned previously the little ones are yummy but not so much the big ones. In Fl they are a nuisance animal and can be shot whenever,they are everywhere like in Texas so it's easy to get some.

    Lol,I'm going to ferment the cider. In Fl you could only get pasteurized cider so I always added cider yeast and did it that way but figure up here I can get the real unpasteurized stuff. I do make apple pie every year but I always use real corn liquor moonshine,no store bought stuff.

    If anyone knows where i can find some i am looking for unpasteurized cider somewhere between East Aurora and Arcade if possible.

    2 years ago when I first bought my land i was getting out of my blind about 10:30am and after taking a couple steps a shot rang out so close i instantly hit the deck,find out later that some idiots have stands set up 50ft across the property line facing into mine and likely shot at me thinking it was a deer. I ended up running into them last year trespassing on my property during muzzloader and did confront them right then,after we chatted they decided it would be best to remove the stands facing into my property. Luckily they are really bad shots,I cannot stand people that shoot without confirming their target.

    I am in the HVAC field which pays pretty darn good and I can say there is a huge labor shortage,its to the point that companies are willing to hire and train people that have no experience. These days Anyone,especially young people that say they can't find a job besides a low paying McDonalds job aren't looking very hard.

    6pt or more for me,I have alot of does on my property so I will take some of those for meat if no older bucks show themselves. I have a friend that will shoot any buck that moves and thinks I'm crazy,everyone is different.

    I'm using mine from last year so hopefully it's still good,if I notice any odd behavior I'll order fresh stuff.
