I would imagine I didn't lime enough.. if your numbers are correct ... guess I will see how it grows . Next year things will be done earlier soil tests and prepping . This year I was more intent on clearing and reclaiming space.

Been shooting blocks with both bow and crossbow . Probably 15 years now . Replaced first one as it wouldn't stop the supersonic meat missiles out of my missle launching cross gun .

So I was up on my property trimming up running brush hog . Made a pass up and down then back up my driveway. At the turn to go back down I catch movment on the drive edge . As I get closer a bear runs acrossed and into the brush . Pretty cool no camera ... in the truck . I go out back to hit a small food plot . And the bear crosses the road again . Neat stuff. Go all the way back to the first spot he is standing at the top of my drive way . Runs off in the brush. Turn to go out to opposite side of the property just as I break t he clearing i see him standing under my stand . Wtf. This morning I'm back at the property unload the 4 wheeler and prepping the sprayer I look up and he is standing there watching me not 30 feet away . He wanders a little ways away into the brush and sits down . I fire up the 4 wheeler and drive past him headed up to small plot and sure enough he is sitting under my tree stand again .. I was wearing shorts ... no place for the revolver .. tomorrow i will have the 45 lc . I know he is just curious .... but he is pretty bold . I usually have at least a 45 acp or 45 lc. I guess because of the heat I have been lackadaisical about carrying. Kind of feels like I'm being hunted .

I'm thinking this is a big sow that kicked the cubs off back in crossbow season . this is probably one of the cubs I had pictures of during crossbow season .

Go out and yell at them ... they ripen faster under stress.

I don't get the numbers for 8w. We are over run with deer in spots I have 5 different deer in my back yard daily . Just up the road there is a horse pasture and last week I counted 11 deer in it . I see deer all the time in the hay field acrossed the road. Honestly think they need to work on their audit system.

My gramps... he was a man of few words . He didn't brag... but the man could hunt . He fed a large family on venison and small game . I know he missed but never when I was around . The man could shoot . He taught me how to shoot . Followed in his foot steps as far back as I can remember. Boy did he have a long stride in deep snow . I was 17 and hunting deer with him and my uncles. I was a driver high on a hill breaking into a big field when I kicked up a big buck . He cut the field way to far of a shot for me . I watched my grandfather shoulder his gun and shoot . The buck dissapeared into the golden rod . No way he made that shot . Sure enough .. buck is dead ... big 8 pt. 138 paces on the run with a 20 gauge browning A5. I had the privilege of dressing that deer and dragging it to his ford country squire wagon. On the way home I was way more excited than him . He finally asked me why I didn't shoot . I told him it was to far ... he said hog wash.. if you can see it you can hit it . He also told me if I dont pull the trigger I'm going to get pretty hungry. Miss them little pearls of wisdom .

Dont know what it is but I would remove from my plants .... kill it and spray ... one week later ... spray ... and anweek after that spray. I have been fighting cucumber beetles and Japanese beetles all summer.
