I have 2 fresh picnic roasts in the smoker . Hit 3 stores before I found pork buts and they were tiny. I'm cooking this for my nextdoor neighbors family. He was a great neighbor and friend although I didn't know him but a few years . Avid outdoorsman loved to fish for pike and deer hunted . He died unexpectedly at 58 years old . I'm going to miss our mailbox gab sessions and cold beer chats while passing on the lawn mowers. He retired only 2 years ago. God speed my friend .

Going to mow one more patch then spray . Grass and weeds in my bigger patches are growing back up from last cutting . Should I cut again or just spray? Using 42 percent glyphosate.

Brush up on a preferred knot for leader attachment . Nothing worse than leader to fly line parting ways out in the middle of nowhere. If your a true beginner that is the hardest knot . Dont count on the damn slinky loop. Been there done that . I have a 4 piece rod tube that holds the rod with reel attached . That's what I use to hike in . If theres a chance of slip and fall over rugged ground a seperate tube and a reel pouch buried deep in the pack is probably a more protective way to go . One decent size box with nymphs, streamers , generic dry . 2 leaders one up and one down size tippet. Strike indicator clippers forceps floatant... small split shot . Insect repellent of choice and or a preferred cigar. Good luck ... pictures please.

Really to hot this weekend but I worked 8 hrs yesterday and 6 today.

Well I have watered 3 days in a row . Tomatoes are popping. Should have first BLT by next week . Squash plants are kicking in as well as cucumbers . Peppers are bushing but not real tall . Bruslesprouts are doing well. We have 10 watermelons a few honeydew and cantaloupe . Between critters .. frost ... cucumber beetles and drought conditions it's been a tuff gardening year. I'm glad I'm not a farmer.... sheesh.

Now you need a hen to go with it .... nice mount . My favorite to hunt and eat .

My neighbors broadcast corn ... first time I seen it it looked like a yellow brick road down through the woods. That looks like it's doing well and pretty good fill.

Big snappers will absorb a 22 and keep on kicking. Have hit them many times in the head they go down and pop back up. 22 mag is a better choice and I would use solids . 223 probably the better choice . As always ricochet is a concern.

Only time I ever had a problem with mine was a barrel. It had a short for end lug .very easy to over tighten would cause it to shoot off . Tried it on my buddy's gun and it shot well . Sold it to him and picked up another barrel.

Wow ... hard to believe . I have a prohunter with 50 cal muzzloader.. 270,308,243 barrels and they all shoot lights out . You must have had a friday or monday morning gun.

Pocket knife since I was 5 ... bb gun was at 4 . Carry pocket knife every day . Carry concield when ever I go outside . No mani pedi messages ever . Pocket knife cleans and trims the nails . Haven't harvested a thing from the garden . We have watermelons the size of baseballs . Tomatoes the size of tennis balls . No flowers on squash . Tons of flowers on cukes . No cukes yet . Peppers are healthy but small . I have a few plum tomatoes but the plants might be a foot tall . I have been picking of flowers trying to get more growth . I had to buy some squash to fry for dinner . No sweet corn available local yet .

Black walnut husks.. pine pitch and paraffin... we never let the water boil ... just got it hot enough to steam . Make sure your in old clothes and gloves ... you wont get the stains out
