Broken bow :(

Dropped my bow off at the local archery shop last week to have the string replaced and got a phone call yesterday saying my binary cam was bent and needed to be replaced. Not the phone call I wanted to hear with only 2 weeks left before the season opener! So now I have to order a new cam. After talking to Bowtech/Diamond they said they can only sell to authorized dealers. Since he is only an authorized Mathew's and Hoyt dealer, he can not order it for me. So Bass Pro shops is an authorized dealer and is supposed to get me an RA # so I can have it sent to my house and have it replaced. I am just hoping they don't drop the ball on this and get me my cam. Sadly, I don't think I will be using the same archery shop (although he is rather close and has always done good work) for service since he can't order parts for my bow when needed. Good news is I think I found another shop that is a certified Bowtech/Diamond dealer and hopefully they can take care of me from now on. Such aggravation...I haven't shot my bow in weeks!!!

Not for nothing, but did you scour Ebay? Usually you can find parts, sometimes have them faster than from the factory.

Sounds like you need a back up bow for just such an occassion, good luck that would drive me nuts right now.

I'd put a back-up plan in the works now just in case.

You can hit craigslist if all else fails. If your in need of a tech and not to far from Syr. there's a guy by the name of Micky works at RaLin's on Burnett, they also have a selection of used Bows.

Well in my every attempt yesterday to get the cam ordered, I failed. BPS was not very good at contacting me or Bowtech/Diamond which upset me even more. Once I finally got a hold of a parts guy at Bowtech/Diamond he reassured me that he would personally contact BPS and call me after. Hopefully they can have one ordered for me today. If not, I have my backup bow ready for purchase!

Looks like I will be putting my back up plan into action. 10-14 days for delivery of the new cam....

how in the world did u bend a cam?? only way iv even seen it happen is from a dry fire or a fall from a treestand!

Long story short, don't let friends touch your bow. Buddy had the string slip at almost full draw. He's gonna pay for the cam so that eases some of pain. My backup plan is on its way to my door tomorrow. Got a smoking deal on a 2012 Deadeye, couldn't resist.

Yikes.... never let anyone draw my bow and i NEVER draw it without a arrow on the string... never know what could happen!

Knicked my string last year while hunting with a broad head... bought a new bow this year and kept the old one just in case...

Maybe there is a bowtech forum. Is so you may be able to get a cam quickly from someone on the forum. I have an Elite and there are always parts hitting the Elite forum classifieds.
