landtracdeerhunter
Was a wet am hunt. Stayed dry with my bonnie. Out till 10 am. Only deer seen were the ones crossing the road, front of me a little after 6. Pulled the cams and blinds after.
cdmckane
Same here. I'm "hunting" from my computer chair. IE, if I see something out the window, I'll step out on the back porch and take a shot, but I'm not all about getting sick.

Nomad
Hum I was going to call it a season as well.Raining pretty good here, my hunting land is a bit south of me I'd have to leave here soon to be on stand by 3;30, have a Christmas dinner to be at by 6:30 as well. I think I'll just clean up my gun/hunting room, and wait for the oldest to return home from college, her sister got here yesterday, she's still in bed...... cdmckane
I walked outside around 4pm to get a bag of coal for the stove. Good thing my backup muzzleloader was in the shed and ready to go. Took a 40 yard shot at a nice fat doe and she fell where she stood. Overall, it was a good season. Three deer in the freezer will make for some good eats til next fall. Doc
Lol ...... at 3:30 yesterday afternoon, I had 7 deer grazing on my front lawn. A couple of them were some mighty fine does (no bucks). They all know the score ..... ha-ha.
Five Seasons
probably saved a bunch of deer. Which means more and bigger deer next season!
cdmckane
probably saved a bunch of deer. Which means more and bigger deer next season! I'm interested to see the final take numbers. I know I didn't see as many this year as I have in the past. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk
landtracdeerhunter
I'm quite interested in the harvest numbers also. In talking to area hunters, harvest numbers should go up here, from last year. anyways.
Five Seasons
i think the gun kills were way up in my area. that first weekend/week was so nice weather wise that a lot of fair weather hunters got themselves into the woods. the pile at the butchers i saw was almost sickening. cdmckane
That and I'm really wanting to see if the extended bow season had an.impact on gun harvests Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk
growalot
Congrats to you guys....our deer take here and at camp was half of what we got last year...due more to choices I made here than lack of sightings...though big buck sightings were way lower this year...At camp....whole lot of reasons...none being a lack of deer....lol Edited December 19, 2012 by growalot
