fasteddie
A few days ago I noticed the black flies were showing up and figured it must be almost Turkey Season . I havn't turkey hunted in a few years mostly because of these tiny pests . Took my walk tonight around 6:30 and the darned black flies were all over . Anyone else seeing this in their area ? wdswtr
When I was boiling in march I was seeing mosquitos. Oddest thing I ever seen in march, well almost the oddest lol. Today the black flies exploded and the worse I have seen in years. 5 minutes outside and it was awful. I think certain powers to be could skip the water dripping on the forhead to drive a man insane and just send them to NY filled with a room of black flies to get them talking in a hurry
fasteddie
I believe the black flies think the bald spot on the back of my head is a landing strip and they attack it .

Fletch
I have been seeing mosquitos for two weeks now, picked up a couple ticks last week looking at some property up north but thankfully no black flies yet.
landtracdeerhunter
Bees are the only thing biting here right now. Sat against a tree this am with my boot covering a bumble bee nest. Something hit me in my hat. Thought it was tree bark, reach up and the little ........ stunk me in the finger. That smarts.
