Gun Rack

Just though i'd show some pics of the gun rack I made as a school project. I know its not perfect but I would like to hear your opinions and things you think could be improved.

The principal walked into class one day and I just said to him listen Its obviously a gun rack, not gonna say its a "hat rack" or something like that. If you have a problem with it fine il finish it at home and take a 0 for the grade, he was alright with it then.

Totally love the rack. You asked for suggestions, here is one-next time maybe use  more decorative (antique style) hinges.

Yeah my original plan was to patina the hinges to make um look older and rusted but i just ran out of time.

Only thing I would add is to make it hold more guns. Maybe 4 or 5 instead of two.

Then you can go gun shopping!!

Have you ever considered a career in wood working? You seem to have some natural talent for it.

Considering that it is a highschool shop project, and the fact that it's not something you do every day for an occupation, I think it is a heck of a good start that could develop into a pretty valuable skill. Also, as a hobby, it certainly looks like something that you might want to eventually get a bit serious about.
