Reminton 700 and Model 7 recall for trigger issues

It back.....I wonder what the turn around rate is.....the lady on the phone

Said it was a recall for a faulty trigger and action...which sucks

Just received a email from them saying it can take up to 6 months to get back my rifle. Nope I'll pass. I am just gonna order a timney trigger for 127$ and be happy. My gunsmith can have it installed in no time

Luckily both my 700's miss the recall. Good thing. These mass recalls can take for ever. I have two friends who sent back Springfield -S's (for recall work) back in Aug. & Sept & they still haven't gotten them back.

Has anyone received the shipping box from Remington yet?    My son was on hold on the phone forever, he just hung up and did it on line. Got message he would get the box and tags, but hasn't seen anything yet.

Ugh, mine is in the recall. I submitted the form last night. Waiting for the stuff.

So looking at triggers, nothing is in stock at this point. Every Timney with a safety included is backordered. The Shilens are in stock, but you need an aftermarket safety for them, and those are backordered. I cant wait 6 months to get my rifle back.

I have been a dyed in the wool Remington fan for years, but I am quickly losing faith in them. Their quality control seems to have gone way down hill.

Well, I just found one, available straight through Timney. The nice part of ordering through them is you can select your trigger weight.

Just an FYI.  My son received the box on Monday.  Received an e-mail with the shipping tags to print off.  So we'll see how long this is going to take.

I sent mine in last week.  I called them to confirm the process.  I asked the lady what the estimate turn-around time would be.  She said that they are mindful of hunting season but military and law enforcement comes first so she can't guarantee me any thing.  Looks like I'll be bow hunting only or using the muzzleloader this year.

9-14 month wait... thats why i installed a timney ...screw that mess of waiting after spending a chunk of money on a rifle..

Only Remington I've got is a 742 woodsmaster. If they throw out a recall on that they would be opening up a very old can of worms and have people scratching heads Haha good luck all. Hope the turn around is quick.

Just found out about this today and of course my 700 is being recalled.I should have bought the Ruger American like I had planned on.My car has been recalled,my Remington,and my NEW Frigidair refrigerator has a problem even AFTER a repairman was here last week to fix it.KEEP OUTSOURCING PARTS OUT OF THE U.S. YOU STUPID CORPORATE MANAGEMENT LOSERS !
