biggamefish
I am refletching my arrows again. > This is the third time this season that I have done it. The first time I thought it was me for not cleaning he arrow second time I cleaned the arrow and this time I tried the tape. I was using duco cement wich alot of people swear by. I think I will be buying fletch tite next. The tape does work well also just expensive. What do you guys use?
NYDeer
Fletch tite usually.. If your shooting a biscuit, throw a small dab on the leading point, where the vane foot attaches to the shaft. This will create a small glue 'ramp' and keep your vanes nicer/longer. I also usually shoot a 5 bull target, one arrow to each to minimize vane/nock damage. biggamefish
I should say that I shoot feathers with a right helical (not that it matters) and on aluminum arrows. Trad guy here.
Bballhunter11
I use goat tuff glue and i fletch several dozen arrows a year. One guy i was shooting with at a 3-d shoot shot through a target and the vane ripped before it came off the shaft and he said that has happened before when shooting my arrows
ballbusta
I have the exact same setup. I use fletch tite or super glue in a pinch
fasteddie
I havn't had any luck with the Fletch Tite Platinum so I have been using the Super Glue .
mkrafty133
I gave up fletching with the glure and tape and went to Shrink fletches. I llove them. More expensive but alot faster and easier.
fasteddie
I fletch my arrows with something I swore I would never use ------- 4" Qwik-Spins I have seen the shrink vanes and don't care for the short length
Lawdwaz
The past couple years I've been using Saunders NPV arrow mate cement. No problems and very fast drying. I've used the old Fletch Tite, the newer Platinum and Duco cement also. Like mentioned above, a little drop at the leading edge of the fletch when you remove the finished arrow from your jig goes a long ways at keeping feathers or vanes from being FUBO. Fletch
I use Bohning Instant Gel and have zero issues. I also shoot with a bisquit. Very easy to use and dries fast.
Lawdwaz
Only one that really failed miserably for me was Elmer's. That stuff sucked
Doc
I have used fletch-tite since shortly after 1965, and have never had a problem that I could blame on adhesive. I have made all my arrows (wood, aluminum, and even some carbons for other people) since that time and have given the stuff a very thorough testing over the years. The stuff is not all that expensive for the number of arrows a tube will do, so I have never had any reason to try to cut corners in that area.
