For the next storm...I was hand shoveling  when the mail lady came down the drive....She said your not doing all this by hand..."Yes Mam"..."OMG" she yells...lol She'll now be another person slowing down to see if I'm dead in the driveway ....

But I finally beat the plow for now..I terraced the snow banks before and past the mail box and cut them back to the culvert ditch...they could not drop all the snow infront of either drive or too much infront of mailbox...So it won't be quite as bad this next round...4hours and nearly all of it's done...though I spent 4 hours on it yesterday as well....but today I started the path to the propane tank...that had to be cut into blocks.....I was doing 3 cubed ft at a time..I'm 2/3 there...beautiful sunny day though...wind died down and it's kinda nice out there...though...I did have to sit in my coat 15 mins when I came in...the zipper was frozen...lol

I truly admire your spirit, grow!

Wednesday was a 'moving snow around' day for me. Bucketing piles back to make room for more snow, and shoveling roofs. My dear old dad stopped by to rake off the eaves and hold the cell phone in case of emergency during the roof work.

I can't wait to start complaining about heat and bugs again.

The work is hard for sure, but the payoff is the living in the country a bit, away from the hustle and turmoil of city living. I just got back from the stupid Mall, where the little terrorists are off from skool(lol) roaming around, because it's too cold for them...funny how they still make it to coffee shops, vaping shops and malls to kill time. Rather work in the woods. Nice pictures.

I just finished shoveling the snow off of the front of the garage & family room roof . By biggest concern was trying to not slide off the roof . I had pulled quite a bit off a couple days ago with a snow rake but couldn't reach the stuff 1/2 way to the top that was almost 3' high . Once the snow drops 9 feet to the ground , it packs and it was a pain to move even with the 8 horse snow blower .

I should have left it alone as my wife always parks her car in the garage but hasn't for the past couple days as she was afraid that the garage roof would cave in so I have parked there . Maybe she won't notice that I removed a lot of the snow . I also had to clear a path through about 2 feet of snow through the back yard and to the shed so I could get my ladder . I was smart enough to brace the feet of the ladder against the snow blower so the ladder wouldn't slide away .

I waited until it warmed up to 12 degrees before doing the task .

Hows this for snow piles, my cousin was up at his camp a couple days earlier then me and did me a huge favor and cleared around my camp before i get up there in the morning. Saved me from getting the tractor out and wasting a few hours.

Gee that looks like the sides of my driveway and around the back of the house. .

I'm finding that the driveway, sidewalks, roads and parking lots are getting narrow!  Holy cats, there just isn't anyplace to put the darn snow.

At home when I shovel, I push it to the side of the driveway, lift it up and half falls back down!!  Hopefully (?) we get enough this weekend to blast it away with the snowblower.

The neighborhood dogs are pissin' and poopin' on the sidewalks and driveways all over town........gross but I sure don't blame them.  My pup can still negotiate to the backyard but I think she has tired of the deep snow too!

We took a BRISK walk last night and for the first time all winter, everybody has their sidewalks clear!  It had to be a "sumbeach" getting the ones open that hadn't been.

The real bummer in this whole thing is is there is no relief in sight.  Gimme some damned hope will ya.....!!

I got this from another site...so true so true...lol Thanks Zos....

A little Humor from Jeff Foxworthy for this winter day...

"You know you are a true upstate New Yorker when..."
-You can drive 65 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard, without flinching.
-You carry jumper cables in your car and your girlfriend/wife knows how to use them.
-Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow.
-You know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction.
-You have more miles on your snow blower than your car.
-You find 10 degrees "a little chilly." and 55 is shorts weather.
-You actually understand these jokes, and you send them to all your Upstate New York friends and to those who used to live here and left.

I don't know if Jeff Foxworthy ever said this, but it seems like the right time to post it
