I think he ran it over with a school bus...... I still see some yellow paint on it's leg that didn't come off in the bus wash! :secret:

getting out tomorrow for the last hoorah. Was in the woods two weeks ago and only called in two hens where normally I had been hearing 5-10 gobblers on the roost. 

 

Anyone have any updates? Weather looks good so hopefully they will be active and the hens won't be as busy with the toms. By the way, this is in Westchester County.

Well, hate to admit it, but the Fat lady has sung her song for me. Went out this morning, and very much the same thing like the rest of the month. Silence like a church!!! This was the last time out for me, work calls from now on.

Haven't been out since 5/17 between work and then being on Vacation with my wife in St Marteen since 5/22. Will be back home tomorrow night and should be home from the airport by about 1:00 AM and am planning to be out the final morning of the season. Hopefully they will be active. I worked one that last weekend I was out but he didn't come in close enough for a shot...hopefully one will still be in the area and looking for love.

LOL St Maarten!! I don't feel sorry for you one bit!

LOL...Yeah, my wife laughs at me while we lay by the pool as I read "Live from the woods" posts. Some rum & cokes, strawberry daquireies, and bikinis do make missing turkey hunting a little bit easier!

Nary a turkey sound and the winds picking up. Far from what I had hoped for. Not looking like a second tag punched this year. Daughter is soundly sleeping next to me lol.

We needed one a those calm 30 degree mornings !
