wooly
Nice! That last buck you posted the rear view of looks an aweful lot like the first buck in the first set of pics. Those brows high on the beams look very similar. I might think they are the same buck, but maybe not. That "sidewinder" buck is pretty sweet too! I love those goofy racks like that even on a 1.5 year old!
First-light
Cards are back in. You may be right Wooly. On my way back in had a family of 6 grouse on the path I mowed this morning and busted up a family of about 10 Turkeys. The young turkey were the size of a full grown grouse. nyslowhand
He will be much bigger in most cases. July puts on more inches than any other month. As a general rule, probably true. Not to beat a dead horse, but doesn't the old genetics &/or nutrition come into play with rack development? In the area I hunt, nutrition isn't great, so genetics are the key factor, where I've seen June to be the primary growth month. As an arbitrary landmark, by ~July 4th bucks in my area have developed to ~80% of what they'll be in Oct. Can't speak directly to areas that have large nutritional crops available, but have to assume significant growth will/should continue thru July due to available nutrition. Isn't this growth mainly tine length during July? Of course, every buck will develop differently even within the same area.
