Honestly not a fan. Malty , boozy with caramel , chocolate and fig notes. Have had before and confirmed my initial thought of I don’t like wee heavy or scotch ales.

Tried to make you stout guys happy by trying this dessert beer. It’s ok, but if I had to have milk stout again I still prefer Left Hand.

 

And the Friday try a new beer on the train home streak stays alive.

Great stout here. Imperial aged in oak whiskey barrels. $12 so it outta be good .

The stouts just don’t do it for me. They aren’t refreshing or crisp.

It's very smooth.  Plenty of dark chocolate and espresso flavor plus the warmth of bourbon from barrel aging.  This is easily one of my favorites.  Def recommend to anyone that enjoys imperial stouts.

Sounds like a keeper. I've had a lot of barrel aged brews and find them very good. Thanks for your thoughts on this one.
