greg54
Must be a real long set...mine are 12 feet and still can't reach far enough Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk My car is small, a Honda Civic Coupe 2 door and my sister has a Civic also and I had enough length to reach. I'm not even sure what the length of mine are, but it wasn't a tight stretch between the battery hookups. It got the job done, that's most important. I will check the water though like you said.

Most of the civic batteries are pretty small, normally under 500 CCA, sometimes only 340 CCA or so. I had a brand new 500 CCA battery installed and it was tough to turn it over today, so I can imagine a battery that's a tad on the older side struggling. landtracdeerhunter
A balmy +5 here at 6 am.. Actually feels pretty good. If your battery made it through the weekend, then your smooth sailing. These temps. were a much better check than any load test going. It's something people call, being prepared. It's like, why have underwear in your drawer when you need it now? Because you're going to shower eventually and change them right? Why carry jumper cables when you don't need them now? Because maybe it might save you a tow? Why carry this extremely portable booster/phone charger? I think you get the point. This topic is about the arctic blast, not how you hate Amazon. philoshop
The fuel system in my van is frozen, lines and/or injectors I believe. I ran the battery down trying to get it to fire yesterday morning. The sun was shining so I opened the hood and put a black tarp over the engine compartment hoping it would thaw out. No such luck. I don't need to be anywhere for a couple of days so it's not a big deal, except that I'm out of beer. Temperature is supposed to be around freezing tomorrow, so I'll see if that helps. Takes quite a bit to freeze gasoline, unless it's a diesel. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
Paula
My husbands truck froze yesterday. He was all kinds of lights on. It would start but sounded sick. I guess it's fine now so I am not sure why he is driving my jeep. It has no heat to it.

Paula
No, hasn't worked maybe 2-4 yrs. I never used it too much. I did change thermostat 3 months ago, thought maybe I should have heat. I think the lines are plugged. I did change thermostat 3 months ago, thought maybe I should have heat. I think the lines are plugged. Thermostat in a car doesn't dictate heat, it's more the heater core that may be the problem. There's a valve that's generally operated by vacuum that opens when you tell it to in the cabin controls. Checking the valve operation could tell you more on where the problem may be. A common cause for "no heat" in the cabin is low antifreeze levels. Have someone bleed the system for air and it may solve the problem. Was there any leaks, work done around the time you lost heat? Like, water pump, thermostat, radiator, a water line, anything like that? Just my two cents. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
