Peacock Call Locater?

OK, I am not even sure where to start this one.

My glass pot call got here a day early at Wallyworld. I go get it, come home open it to find it was cracked. Back to Wallyworld and because it was a defective product it would have been two to three weeks to get a new one. I said no and opted for a refund.

So, I hit the web waiting for the snow to let up. I came across a few articles about peacock calls for shocking a gobbler. I really thought is was a joke. Apparently not. Even up here with no tropical climate a peacock call can work.

Anyone here ever try one of these calls?

I used to have a combination call... peacock, pileated woodpecker, and hawk scream all in one. I think it may have even done coyote howls.

You just tooted different notes into it for the variations in sounds.

Can't remember who made it, but yes, sometimes it worked.

Lost in the woods forever years ago.

Yes they are like wooly already said, combo peacock call, pilliated wood pecker.

I have also used a silent dog whistle, a elk bugle, and a horn off a 82 Honda moped . All to great success

An owl call works as well but those are other options

Peacock call works the best my place in 8P for locating during the day. There are so many crows around that  they dont gobble to them unless they are already fired up. or as already said, the pilleated woodpecker works great.

My best locating call in the evening is a pot and pan. The birds very rarely gobble to anything in the evening at my place. So the pots and pans shock them pretty good. lol

How'd like to hit that peacock call and have this strutter come in ?! ????

No lie here, the private land I hunt in the NZ the owner has about 7 peacocks. I think the g/f has some pics of the adults and a few babies from two years ago. If she kept them I will post a couple.

I really though this was a joke call. I have no plans on buying one, but I thought it was interesting to say the least.
