Robinson446
Personally i love the lever action guns. So when my girlfriends dad showed me his 30-30 Marlin with a nice scope on it and he said he would sell it, I went home and opened up my box i keep my money i am saving in. I had $400 cash i told him that i was willing to offer. He said because he dosnt use it at all and he knows ill use it alot and that he thinks im a good kid he said its a deal! wood stock. I love it. Even though my whole summer earnings from the past few years is GONE. luckly i have a few extra dollars tucked away that i can use incase i need anything for this years Duck and goose hunting. Robinson446
Its at my dads house so i dont even remember what kind of scope is on it. Wasnt really worried about the scope as much as i was the gun. I love lever actions. my dad has a .35 lever action too. Love those style guns. Mr VJP
I have Marlin lever action rifles in both .30-30 and .35 Rem. I put a nice little Leupold 2.5X scope on the .35 Rem because it's an older model with a very small rear sight blade, and my old eyes are not as good as they were. Great classic Upstate N Y deer rifles!
skyzmine
I also have a marlin 30/30 the older heavy gun. you will have a blast with it, congrats
ack
I actually just picked up a Marlin 30/30 last week! Mine has an inexpensive Simmons 3-9x scope on it. I took it to the range and put a few rounds through it the other day
Fantail
I kick myself for not buying a .35 Marlin lever when I had the chance. One of these days..
Dave
Marlin lever actions are great guns I have a few. Two 30-30's, and a 22 marlin lever action . And my brother has a 35 Marlin. You won't regret it and it will last a life time. Dave.
jkzfixme
best thing you can do for that gun is pick yourself up some of the lever evolution rounds by Hornady. They make it a totally different beast. Great gun.
hunter
I love Marlin lever guns. My first rifle was a .35 Marlin and now have one in 30-30. Also have a .41 mag Marlin which is awesome. I understand the .35 ammo is more expensive so you're probably better off with the 30-30. Good luck.
SplitG2
My first rifle was a Winchester 30-30 lever and my only rifle.
Dave
My first rifle was a Winchester 30-30 lever and my only rifle. Why change something that works so well. Dave
nyantler
I have used a single shot 30-06 for years but last year acquired an old model 94 Winchester 30-30 from a buddy that i used in 2010.. I love it... I was looking at a Henry 30-30 just before my friend gave me his 30-30.. I have another friend that just bought a new Henry and I've shot it.. thats a great rifle as well
Karpteach
Congrats on the new lever action. It was one of the first rifles ever used (borrowed from my mentor) and I loved it. Ended up with a Sako finnwolf in .308, I felt it was a more versatile caliber. I love the lever actions.
