mac
best rates are normally 3-6 months out from travel with movements up and down along the way. If you are going next month and $350 is the rate for non stop to and from your desired airports, I'd book it given the fact there probably arent a dozen flights per day to/from your destination. Elmo
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/best-day-to-book-plane-ticket_us_56cf1648e4b03260bf759b79 It's also cheaper to book on a Tuesday or Wednesday but maybe it's just me but on a $300 ticket, I'm not overly concerned about +/- $5 or so. It does look like $350 is the going rate for the flight you're looking for. Getting around $315 to Wilmington and $290 to Charleston but if your final destination is Myrtle Beach then I'd just go with the $350 straight there.

WNYBuckHunter
I usually use Southwest or JetBlue and book direct with them.....not sure of Southwest is an option for you, but they don't charge baggage fees. Same here. Southwest as much as possible.
