Just bought a Tikka 270 for son

Wife and I bought a Tikka T3 Lite stainless in .270 for my son for Christmas.  Had a Zeiss Terra 4 - 12 X 42 bore sighted. Everything I read about these guns great - Tack hammers they say.

I bought my son one 10 years ago, used.  Chambered in .223 and it's a tack driving winner.

Great holiday gift that will be treasured for a lifetime; I am almost 60 and I still remember fondly those gun shaped boxes that were Remington green way back under the tree!!

I still own and carry those guns to this day !!

Just about a perfect rifle - scope combination!  Very nice!  Quality to last a lifetime. To make memories in the deer woods, for a father and son. What an awesome Christmas gift! A gift that will keep giving, year after year!

We have always been impressed with the glide action of the bolt. Interesting but it was my wife that went to Gander to look at Rifles and was the one who originally came home with the idea of the Tikka. How could she have known?

I have the T3 hunter (blued with wood stock) and it will do a number on a deer. The doe I shot 2 weeks ago just piled and took a softball sized chunk out of her neck on the exit. It will almost clover leaf at 100 yards, they are great guns.
