Cell Cams banned by P&Y

So, I say again, who cares about P-Y or B&C? You wanna be famous? Just post on the web. 

P&Y and B&C do a ton of fighting for our rights though. As does SCI and other groups.

I agree. They even say every once in a while, every deer you kill is a trophy to you. Biz, I am not trying to argue with you. I just think there should be more to hunting then killing the biggest rack deer. Those record books mean nothing to me. Nor does the "score" of a buck. I hunt because I love hunting, I love eating venison, and just being out there in the woods.

My only comment was a fact: a record book animal is not a record book animal unless it's actually in the record book.

I guess I was trying to make a moot point about hunting just to get in the books.

Do some see hunting as a competition between hunters. That is something that I guess I never experienced, since my competition is more with the deer that I hunt than with any other hunters. I never was driven to advertise my achievements in some book. And so, I never paid a lot of attention to any systems of scoring or trying to beat out other hunters by getting some line item in a record book. I am not hunting to impress anyone but myself. My hunting successes and achievements are my own to enjoy, and I do not need the approval of some organization or some conjured up scoring system to tell me if I should be happy with my successes.

But, I guess we are all in the activity for different reasons and with different personal needs. So I see it all as kind of a harmless endeavor as long as it doesn't create pressures on hunting that drive laws and restrictions and begins to drive participants from hunting.

So, does it? I guess that is a subject for a different topic.

So cell cam for inventory is OK but for "locating, pursuing or guiding the hunter" its not OK.  This looks like a great new specialty area for a lawyer.  lol 

A cell cam used to locate gets close to the drone idea of locating deer. Not exactly the same but depending on how many cams you're using I can see how it's viewed as unsporting.

What exactly are you measuring to get a 6 though? Inches between the rack ? I So your saying she's equal to a yearling with two 3" spikes ? I'm lost.... And headed way off track.

P&Y, B&C, F&S and others can be called antler porn by some. Playboy and the SI swimsuit issues could be called porn in a different venue.  All can be a good read but the reality of what you take home and enjoy the most has nothing to do with size. I do have a nice evenly balanced ten point on the wall but, in spite of the pride I have in taking it, looking at it reminds me of the four hour endeavor and excitement to harvest this guy. It took me awhile to realize that even my closest friends only see a ten point.

One can win while hunting regardless of the final score.
