The skull cap is what the taxidermist needs to mount the deer, and he probably gave the rack back to the owner untill the cape is tanned doesn't want it on his insurance if it were to be stolen. I think the article says the deer was 8 1/2 if i remember right. was shot on a drive after his son saw it and recruited his father and brother to help...dad got the shot.
