I have seen this before....Always wondered how the turtle left that perfect little round hole in the ground..

I am guessing that perhaps they do it with their tail ??

There is a swamp on my property that has some behemoth snappers in it. I witness this every year when I am out turkey hunting during the month of May. They come into my plowed fields to lay their eggs. Below is a youtube video showing up close how they do it.
