Gender Confusion Pathlogy.   Gender dysphoria is classified as a disorder under dual role transvestism.  

Currently, because of political pressure, the America Psychiatric Assn is talking about changing this from a disorder, to a preference.  I suppose homicidal tendencies could also be called a preference if they so desire.

No. But I am talking about paying for the cost of the surgeries and hormone treatments. I don't believe elective procedures or treatments should be covered regardless of race or gender

The plan was for the military to cover the costs for sex changes after a soldier was taken in.  It's elective surgery so it should not be allowed.

As far as letting them in the military, nobody has a RIGHT to go into the military no matter how bad you wish to serve.  You have to qualify, and there are hundreds of things that you can be disqualified for.  Even flat feet get you denied.  Transgenders are high maintenance and cannot be coddled in a combat theater of operations.  Someone with asthma can't be either.

This is not an issue of bigotry or prejudice.  This is an issue of military requirements.  Those requirements cannot be changed for transgenders without changing them for many other unqualified applicants.  That would be preferential treatment, which is so commonly preferred by liberals.  

Seems standards are always being lowered to meet the demands of the left.  That's why we are seeing less and less exceptionalism in America.  Welcome to the land of mediocrity and malaise.

So no disagreement regarding passing a test. I think we went through this with woman already many decades ago. GI Jane comes to mind. Ultimately there are positions that they don't qualify for, and the same for some men and even trannys. 

As far as paying for their surgery, no f'n way. And that's the same if a dude wants a bigger cock or a lady wants bigger tits on uncle Sam. 

But if you can pass the tests and you're willing to fight for the country, who are we to deny that? Heck, would anything be better than some tranny shooting up a couple arabs? Talk about a real blow to moral lol.

The suicide rate (and attempted suicide) for transgenders is crazy high compared to the rest of society. There has been more that a few studies on this.  I would think that by definition, an attempted suicide or successful attempt would classify someone as having a mental issue.  Take a peek at some of the numbers in this survey.

I am, but that fact is irrelevant and unrelated to the issue.  But I can tell you the current attitude of active military personnel.  Tranny's are creating issues and hurting morale.  Nuff said.
