Attended a wedding at Woodlawn Beach yesterday in Blasdell , NY . Then a reception at the The Columns Banquet House in Elma then stayed at the Hampton Inn in West Seneca . After breakfast , we said our good byes and went to Cabelas . It's a huge store but I wasn't impressed . I checked out ammo , reloading supplies , boots , etc and we walked out without making a purchase . I like the Field and Stream store better . Can't wait for the Bass Pro in Victor !

It's the only one I've been to and never to a Bass Pro. I always spend more money than I intended when I go. It's only minutes away which is dangerous.
Do you think they are keeping lower inventory dollars because BP bought them I wonder.
Woodlawn beach shuts down many times a summer for water quality problems.

I don't know why you'd be all that impressed with BP..........same/same.

Cabela's is good to do some browsing and comparison shopping, burning Club Points too.  Nobody in Buffalo or WNY has the selection of shoes and soft goods either.  Doubting F&S has a fraction of that stuff??

Wish we'd get a Sportsman's Warehouse............

I have been there many times. This store is nothing like the ones in Michigan, or the 2 in Nebraska. They never have my ammo .35 rem. They had advertised a meat grinder on sale. I showed up at 9am the morning of the sale and they had none available, but tried selling me the display model with missing pieces for $10 less. Not worth wasting my time driving an hour to get there ever again.

So, speaking of the Bass-Pro in Victor, has anyone heard anything about the progress or future of that new store. They are way, way past the original advertised opening date, and the subject seems to have gone completely dormant. Have they dropped the whole idea, or is there some local roadblocks or other problems involved?

When I used to fly down to Florida to drive my in-laws car back , I would either stop at the Bass Pro Store in Orlando ar Concord Mills in North Carolina . It depended on what time I left Florida . I have never been to thr BP in Waterloo , NY .

Nope Waterloo won't do it..... you still have a bunch more miles to go. The Bass-pro shop over there is in Auburn. I think it's a pretty nice store. Like the rest of them prices are not really any bargain, but they have always had what I was looking for. It's worth the trip if you have a day with nothing to do. Love the fish tank!
