Ontario Buckhunter
Has anyone been hog hunting in the south? I want to book a trip for sometime in early spring with my buddy, preferably with an outfitter. If anyone has had any experiences positive or negative with a guide or DIY I would like to hear them? Thanks,
Robhuntandfish
i have one booked for Feb 2019. With Waccamaw hunting in South Carolina. Havent been yet of course but did a lot of online research and reviews of this place were all great. All said owner Rick Grubbs was a great guy and worked hard to get them on a hog. If you book and go somewhere, would love to hear how it was. good luck

Buckmaster7600
When I was stationed down south I shot a bunch of them from North Carolina to Florida. They are fun to hunt. If you want to eat them shoot a small one!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

hugedogleg
We catch them with dogs in Northeast Texas. Hunt from end of January til Sept. Usually catch 150 to 200 a year. I have never shot one but if you pour some corn on the ground where hogs are you will be successful. Spot and stalk would be pretty challenging where I'm at because of the swampy terrain where they tend to live.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

I know this was posted awhile ago but I just returned from cypress creek. Great place, great staff. Of 8 hunters, we took 2 hogs with 2 missed shots and only 1 who saw nothing over the 3 day hunt. What I learned is that their not as many as some claim, and they are extremely nocturnal. Best hunting is at night over feeders with green lights on the rifles. I’d go back.
