Full moon

[crappyice]

I HATE full moons-for whatever reason I never see $hit when there is a full moon. I’m thinking of skipping the “first light” hunt and sitting from 9-12:00 Under the theory that maybe they are up eating under the light of the moon, lay down nearing first light and get back up for a later breakfast nibble.

Anyone have a better idea?

The moon is supposed to be underfoot at 1058. Im somewhat of a believer in the red moon.

Most deer I ever saw was morning after a full moon. Killed buck and minutes later a doe. Turkeys ? Full moon wonks them up bad. Deer , nope !

You guys are killing me. This is the most indecisive I’ve been all season since oct 1... I guess I’m getting up at 4:30...laid down at 9:30 now I can’t sleep. When I see NO deer tomorrow my next hunt will be for TF and the Renegade!!

There are just as many deer at full or any other moon. They are out there! At this point, try getting in or near some of the thickest stuff you know of. Thats where the deer are now. Shots will be close. And the action could come at any time. Good luck!

Should be the peak of the second rut…or thereabouts any time this weekend should be good. Bucks looking for does, or in lockdown…expecting to fill a tag.

Just get out there and hunt! And enjoy it.... but for real... major deer movement from 1058 to 1258. Lol. Solunar hunting moon guide. I will personally be out there from 6 to noon tomorrow. Good luck Mr. Crappy!

I bet a lot of nice bucks will be taken during this full moon weekend. Today's best times should be 11am till 1pm  and Sunday will be an hour later according to the moon times chart:

Fair point... maybe. Yesterday seemed more like a fluke than the norm- this morning felt like the post full moon hunt. Crisp, cold, DEAD QUIET!

I hate the full moon.  It was too damn still today.  Saw one skipper all morning.  I ended up getting down from my stand and pruned some apple trees with my hand saw.  I kept my muzzleloader close at hand, but got done what I could from the ground on 6 trees.  Felt good to be doing something productive.  Did see 3 doe this afternoon, but they were behind some serious posters...
